An artist reimagined Yone fromLeague of Legendsin the style ofHades. Known as “The Unforgotten,” Yone wasfirst introduced as a cardinLegends of Runeterrabefore officially becoming aLeague of Legendschampion in 2020. The champion is usually played in the top and mid-lane.According to the officialLeague of Legendslore, Yone was a renowned swordsman in his Ionian village, but was killed byhis half-brother Yasuo, who is also a playable champion. In the game, Yone is back from the dead after slaying a malevolent entity in the spirit realm and has started wearing its demonic mask, giving him powers to help him hunt down creatures. Apart fromLeague of LegendsandLegends of Runeterra, Yone’s Shadow also makes an appearance inRuined King.RELATED:Veteran League of Legends Pro Aphromoo Announces RetirementYone has had various iterations courtesy of splash arts for hisLeague of Legendsskins, and creative fans have also shared their own version of the champion. For artist wandakunpls on Twitter, she decided to draw Yone in the style of Supergiant Games’Hades, complete with a dialog box that had one of the champion’s voice lines. Her work showcased the champion wearing his signature red mask and wielding dual swords, while other elements, like the demonic faces around his hips, seemed to pop out more with theHades-style line work.

Many of wandakunpls' followers praised her work, with one saying that this was a “dream crossover” forLeague of LegendsandHadesfans. The artist also noted that she was inspired by another talented artist named Diana_Slippery on Twitter, who drew another champion, “The Chem-Baroness” Renata Glasc, in the sameHadesstyle.

WhenHadesfully released in 2020, it was praised for its exciting rogue-like gameplay, compelling story based on Greek mythology, and its unique art style. The latter has been replicated by many fan-artists who have been inspired by Supergiant Games' attention to detail. One notable creation wasartist Patrick Ganas' version ofGod of War’s Kratosif he existed inHades' world.

ThisLeague of LegendsandHadescrossover seems fitting considering that both games have a deep lore with interesting characters, and frustratingly challenging gameplay. Perhaps this could also inspire Riot Forge to create a rogue-like game featuringLeague of Legendschampions such as Yone. Considering that the video game company has been exploring ways to flesh out the lore, likeRuined Kingbeing a turn-based RPG andProject Lbeing a fighting game, it might not be a farfetched idea.

League of Legendsis available for PC and Mac.
