The gear chests inAssassin’s Creed Mirageare full of useful items, equipment, and the schematics needed to improve them. Each one is tucked awayin a significant landmark of the game’s Baghdad, including the public bathhouse known in Arabic as a hammam.
There’s just one hammam in theAssassin’s Creed Mirageversion of Baghdad, and it’s a major building in the Abbasiyah District. Players should see the gear chest icon appear on their compass as soon as they approach the bathhouse, but collecting its contents won’t be as easy as it is to get inside.

How to Find the Hammam Gear Chest
Unlike a lot of gear chest locations,there are no guards and no locks to stop Basimfrom entering the hammam. Players can walk right in through the front door and start exploring the interior at any time.
However, there are some obstacles in between Basim and the gear chest. The chest is on the same level as the entrance, but the interior door that leads to the chest’s room is barred. Players can also circle around the exterior to find a weak stone wall, but there are no oil jars in sight.
But “no oil jars in sight” isn’t the same as “no oil jars nearby.” Players who activate Eagle Vision near the stone wall will see an oil jar in a nearby part of the hammam. Unfortunately, a stone shelf that refuses to budge blocks the way in, and that’s despite a note on the wall warning people not to do so.
How to Reach the Hammam Oil Jars
Reaching the oil from the outside is impossible, but reaching them from the inside is another matter. To get in, enter the hammam through the front door. Ignore the barred door, but continue to hug the left wall. Players will encounter another door in the bathing area, and this one has no lock and no bar. The oil jars are straight ahead, and the stone shelf is just past it.
At this point, players can grab a jar and head back through the hammam to reach the stone wall, or they can destroy the pots blocking the stone shelf and move it to create a shortcut. Either way, the only thing left to do is tothrow a jar at the stone wall to break it.Just make sure no civilians are standing next to it at the timeto avoid any negative guard attention.
The hammam gear chest should be straight ahead from the broken wall, as is the barred door.The chest contains the Zanj Uprising Dagger, or else an upgrade schematic for the dagger. This weapon deals more regular damage and less defense damage compared to the starting dagger, and it comes with the special ability Second Wind. When Basim successfully dodges, he regains 10% of his Stamina.
