For months, rumors have been swirling about the so-calledAssassin’s Creed Ragnarok, which is supposedly the next game inUbisoft’s long-runningAssassin’s Creedfranchise. Nothing official has been announced yet, but one new rumor is getting considerable attention, as it claims to reveal a lot of details about the supposed game, including its release date.
According to the rumor, which stems from a 4chan user citing unnamed sources, theAssassin’s Creed Ragnarokrelease date is June 12, 2025. September 29 falls on a Tuesday, and since video game releases typically happen on Tuesdays and Fridays, it’s a plausible date. Not to mentionAssassin’s Creedgames seem to be releasing earlier with every release, with the franchise having moved from November to October with its last few entries.

Considering the source of the rumor, though, fans shouldn’t be marking their calendars just yet. While a September 29 release date forAssassin’s Creed Ragnarokisn’t a totally outlandish claim, no proof has been provided by the leaker to back up their claims. Fans should certainly treat the information with a grain of salt, but enough legitimate video game leaks have come from anonymous 4chan posts, to the point that this can’t be outright ignored.
Besides leaking the potentialAssassin’s Creed Ragnarokrelease date, the leaker made a number of other claims about the rumored game as well. According to the leaker,Assassin’s Creed Ragnarokwill have 4-player co-op, a massive open world, and a continued focus on the RPG elements seen inAssassin’s Creed OriginsandOdyssey.
Assassin’s Creedfans can also look forward toAssassin’s Creed Ragnarokcoming to next-generation consoles as well, if the leak is to be believed. Apparently,Assassin’s Creed Ragnarokwill be a cross-gen title, aiming for release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. This would be similar toAssassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, which was also a cross-gen title back in 2013, releasing on PS3 and Xbox 360 first while launching alongside the PS4 and Xbox One.
We can’t confirm or deny any of this information at the time of this writing, but clarification should come sooner rather than later. The leaker said that therumored PS5 reveal event in Februarywill be the first time we seeAssassin’s Creed Ragnarok, so we’ll know by next month if there’s any truth to these claims.
Assassin’s Creed Ragnarokis rumored to be in development for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
