The list of achievements for Mundfish’s upcoming atompunk FPSAtomic Hearthas been revealed, and, while there’s a lot of fairly standard stuff on offer, there are a handful of particularly interesting accolades that highlight the game’s unique story and setting. Said to be a“way crazier” take on titles such asDoomandWolfenstein,Atomic Heartcertainly looks to be a one-of-a-kind experience, and the list of achievements lends credence to that comparison.

First revealed in 2018,Atomic Hearthas come quite a long waysince the debut of its initial trailer. Fraught with doubt and uncertainty throughout the development process, the game was beleaguered by setbacks, delays, failed VR spinoffs, and rumors of mismanagement. That said, Mundfish appears to have persevered and is now prepared to offer up an FPS that will, according to the newly-revealed achievements, have players crafting weapons, communing with the dead, and hunting robots while drinking vodka.

Most ofAtomic Heart’s achievements seem to be fairly in line with FPS games of a similar scale; trophies can be earned by maxing out skill trees, crafting certain weapons, and progressing through the main campaign. To that end, six specific achievements require the player to kill what are likely major bosses—some of whom have likely appeared in previousAtomic Hearttrailers. Some of the stranger achievements ask players to pick apples, talk to dead animals, and run over enemies while driving.

While it’s nice to get a glimpse into the strange world ofAtomic Heartahead of the game’s mid-February release, there are still a few unknowns surrounding the game. Performance on both consoles and PC remains in question; the title was built with Unreal Engine 4, and some fans are concerned thatAtomic Heartcould suffer from the same technical issues at launch as other recent UE4 games likeGhostwire: TokyoandThe Callisto Protocol.Atomic Heartalso requires some higher-end hardware, especially for those targeting the ever-coveted 4K 60 FPS benchmark.

Another major sticking point has to do with developer Mundfish’s stance on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. A team of Russian developers officially headquartered in Cyprus,Mundfish has faced considerable backlashfor its statements concerning the war on Twitter, as many believed that the studio hasn’t done enough to distance itself from the conflict. Still, while some have called to boycott the title, others hope to reserve judgment until the title’s official release.

Atomic Heartwill be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 21.
