Whileearning goldcan be done by looking after animals and selling their produce, another staple way for players to make their money is through growing crops. In the first year, this will likely be through the usual carrot or tomato. However, starting the second-year players will be introduced to Hybrids that are likely to sell for much more. These are by far the best crops a player should be planting.

8Melon

Startingwith the basics, players will be able to plant and grow Melons from the start of the first year during Summer. This tasty fruit can then be grown throughout the entire season until the end of Autumn when players will want to ensure they have picked them all to avoid withering all their progress.

Melon seeds can be purchased from Vesta’s Farm for fifty gold, although after this purchase if players have earned themselves a Seed Maker, they won’t need to purchase them again. Once grown a B-rank Melon can be sold for two hundred and ten gold; with enough fertilizer, this can be increased to two hundred and seventy gold at S-rank.

7Tomato

While compared to other crops Tomatoes may not give the most gold, they are by far one of the easiest plants to grow while also being the first bag of seeds to be given to the player. On their own in the first year ofA Wonderful Life, players can grow this red fruit from Spring to Autumn meaning players are always likely to have Tomatoes available.

They are also incredibly cheap to purchase from Vesta’s Farm with each bag of seeds charging the player thirty gold and then being sold for one hundred and five gold at B-Rank. Besides this, Tomatoes are thegateway into Hybrid plantsas many of the greatest Hybrids players can create will include the Tomato.

6Greetoma

While there are only a few base crops for players to grow, there is a wide variety of Hybrid fruit and veg that are sure to grace the player’s fields. One must-have addition to the player’s farm is the Greetoma. This hybrid is created by combining the Tomato with a Watermelon.

While its selling price of four hundred and seventy at only B-rank is incredible for any player looking to make a profit fast; another great reason for growing this crop is how it can be grown any season apart from Winter due to its Tomato genetics. The only issue some may have with this plant is its need for soil that isn’t poor, meaning it can only be grown in specific areas of the farm.

5Potato

Few crops grow specifically in the Winter though the Potato is a prominent resident of this season. Players are likely to only have a short amount of time to use this vegetable as it only grows during this seasonas well as Spring.

However, it is a worthwhile vegetable to tend to during this time. Firstly, the seeds will only cost a player forty gold to purchase, which is only ten more than a tomato. Players are likely to obtain a greater profit from this plant as once harvested a B-rank Potato can be sold for a hundred and eighty gold with the S-rank selling for two hundred and forty.

4Watermelon

As one of the parent plants for the Greetoma, it’s of no surprise to see that the Watermelon is another great base crop that players should be growing and selling during their first year ofStory of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

Once again, these seeds can be purchased from Vesta’s Farm for sixty gold and then grown in any soil of the farm; once ready to harvest a B-rank crop can be sold for one hundred and ninety-five gold. Unfortunately, Watermelons can only be grown during the Spring and Summer of the game and therefore players have a limited time to earn a profit from these large green fruits.

3Carberry

Another surprising hybrid that players are likely going to have to grow on their farm in the second year is the Carberry. This plant is created by combining a carrot with a strawberry which creates a crop that is described as surprisingly sour.

Other than its taste, the Carberry is one of few crops that can be grown through the winter as this crop that can beused in several recipescan be grown from Autumn to Spring. Instead of cooking them players can sell the Carberry for four hundred and seventy-five gold – and that’s only at B-rank.

2Melomelo

Few would think to combine a Watermelon with a regular Melon, but players would be surprised to see the profit the Melomelo can earn them. With the help of Vinnie, players can start planting these seeds during the Second Year ofA Wonderful Lifewith Melomelo surviving during Spring and Summer.

An issue with this flavorful crop, however, is that it can take a significantly long time to grow meaning players will want to get these seeds in the ground past with many available. Once they have finally grown, players can then sell this round crop for as much as six hundred and thirty-five gold.

1Sweetoma

Out of all the crops that are available in the remake ofStory of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, the best crop that any player should be growing if they are looking for a profit must be the Sweetoma. This is another hybrid that uses the tomato, proving how vital it is inthe second year of the game.

Its other parent plant is the Sweet Potato which makes the Sweetoma a great addition for both cooking and selling as the crop can be planted and grown in any season minus Winter. Besides the hearty meals it makes, the Sweetoma can gain an easy profit for the player with the B-rank produce selling for four hundred and eighty gold; with enough fertilizer to make the crop S-rank players can earn a profit of five hundred and seventy.
