Battlefronthad a lot of freedom in its large maps, allowing players to jump into iconicStar Warsvehicles and fight their foes on land, air, or even space. Battlefront also had a few iconic heroes and villains, although a tad overpowered, but still ambitious.
Star Wars: Dark Forcesfeels a lot likeDOOM, if the latter was set in theStar Warsuniverse. The game itself has the Rebel Alliance’s covert operations division take the fight to the Empire, infiltrating it to unveil their secrets, and uncover ways in which the Rebels can win the ongoing fight and restore justice and freedom to the galaxy.
Star Wars: Dark Forcesset astandard for FPS games in 1995, with a great degree of movement and interactive environments. Players can engage in multiple battles with various enemy types, with a selection of weapons and items to engage in the galactic perils of Kyle Katarn’s fight.

Wielding a lightsaber feels great, and the swinging and deflecting make combat with AI or player-controlled characters a thrill.
Despite a rocky launch plagued by lootboxes and microtransactions galore, EA and DICE’sStar Wars: Battlefront 2made its way to the title of the best FPSStar Warsgame thanks to its stellar graphics, a multitude of game modes, and investment in the Skywalker Saga, bringing the Original, Prequel, and Sequel Trilogies to the hands of gamers. Large-scale battles, an intensive story mode set afterReturn of the Jedi, and plenty of Jedi vs Sith battles,Star Wars: Battlefront 2was great, and is still great.
Ever since the release of the Prequel content,Battlefront 2has managed to impress. Players can easily immerse themselves in the multitude of wars, whether it’s the Empire vs Rebels, Republic vs Separatists, or Resistance vs First Order, this FPS title can be experienced in the third-person, but there’s no feeling quite like running around in first-person, blaster in hand as AT-ATs stomp, TIE Fighters fly overhead, and the ominous breathing of Darth Vader can be heard alongside the ignition of a lightsaber.
