6Iron Will
Use Resolve To Revive After Death
There is nothing worse than falling in the midst of battle, forcing players to restart from a checkpoint that they are simply not happy to continue from. Whether stealth fails them, or their tactics are unsound, death is inevitable to those who seek an overwhelming fight with dwindling health. Luckily, Iron Will will aid these moments.
By saving some resolve, players are able to initiate Iron Will once they have been killed by pressing the Down Button on the D-Pad. This will see Jin rise up and prepare himself as the fight against the Mongol forces rages on. It’s a great use for an early Technique Point, but the amount of resolve needed differs per difficulty.

5Standoff Streak
Kill Multiple Enemies in A Successful Standoff
The Standoff mechanic inGhost of Tsushimais intense and fun, allowing Jin Sakai to make himself known, honor himself, and challenge his enemies head-on. A successful Standoff will not only kill an enemy instantly, but it will fill the resolve meter, and potentially terrify enemies who are witnessing a fast-bladed master at work.
Yet, there’s a way to improve that with the Standoff Streak, which allows players to fight another enemy in a Standoff by pressing Triangle or Square when the enemy attacks them. In doing so, not only is the enemy dead, but they are going to be given even more Resolve.

4Concentration
Briefly Slow Time While Aiming
Pressing R3, players will be able to slow time to better their aim with bows. This combat ability is one of the best ones for overwhelming forces and for stealth, as using this extra time to take aim and fire at someone’s head will cause them to instantly die.
A headshot is always an instant kill with a normal arrow unless that enemy is wearing a helmet. Either way, Concentration really benefits players and their newly found desire for archery. Whilst it might not be the most honorable to shoot someone in the back of the head with a silent arrow, it’s definitely effective.

3Chain Assassination
Assassinate Two Enemies In One
Assassinating enemies might be a dark path for Jindue to the abandonment of honor, but it’s a necessity when fighting an enemy that has none. With Chain Assassination, players will be able to assassinate two nearby targets in quick succession by pressing the Triangle button.
Whilst players do need to acquire Safe Landing beforehand, Chain Assassination is definitely the one to go for, as the ability to kill two enemies during stealth in one go is definitely going to aid players who cannot simply assassinate one target without fear of altering others nearby.

2Kunai
Throw Small Blades At Enemies To Stagger Them
By holding R2 + Left D-Pad, players will equip a Ghost Weapon known as the Kunai. Players can them use the Left Stick + R1 to throw this Kunai towards their enemies, requiring a tad bit of aim. It’s a great way to strike foes who do not suspect something sharp to hurl towards them, as the Kunai deals a bit of damage and a lot of Staggering damage toprovide Jin with further opportunityto attack.
With the Kunai equipped, players are able to take on more than one foe at once with ease, due to the fact that they are hidden blades that can easily stun and kill enemies. It’s definitely worth picking up for players on thepath to becoming a ghost.

1Smoke Bomb
Throw Smoke To Confuse Enemies
When unlocked and purchased, holding R2 + Down D-Pad will equip Smoke Bombs for the player to use. These can be thrown with the press of R1, and it will unleash a dense smoke cloud at Jin’s feet, causing enemies within the area to cough and swing blindly as Jin obscures himself, becoming one with the smoke as he slips away undetected. It’s apretty good Ghost weaponthat can be purchased with 1 Technique Point, and for players who want an extra try at stealth, it’s one to pick up.
With the Smoke Bomb technique unlocked, players can confuse their enemies, allowing them to assassinate foes who cannot see Jin from within the cloud. The temporary blindness is great, if not a little too short, but players can definitely use it to disappear back into stealth if they are caught by enemies.
