One of the best features ofGenshin Impactis the ability to create teams and experiment with their synergies.Genshin Impact’s Elemental Reaction system established a style of combat that forces characters to collaborate to deal the maximum possible damage. This creates an exciting atmosphere to test and find the best pairs.
Of course, some characters would work well with everyone, like Xingqiu or Bennett. Yet, they still perform significantly better with a certain character. Pairing the best possible characters can ease any battle the Traveler will have in their journey. In addition, it will help players finish the Spiral Abyss more smoothly. So, what are thebest pairs inGenshin Impactso far?

Updated on June 17, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: Niche support slowly becomes more available in Genshin Impact, so many characters now have the perfect companion with them. For instance, Physical damage dealers now have Mika, and Anemo DPS have Faruzan. Both Mika and Faruzan have the ability to greatly boost Physical and Anemo Crit DMG, respectively. Sadly, the fact that Mika is an excellent support for Physical DPS doesn’t mean he outperforms a classic pairing like Eula and Raiden Shogun. To better list some of these new additions, this article is updated to include some of the newest units and the characters they pair with best.
14Raiden Shogun + Kujou Sara
With several reruns already happening, more people started to have a C6 Kujou Sara, which is one of the best pairings with Raiden Shogun. Kujou Sara’s job is quite simple; she simply needs to use her Elemental Skill, and then players must switch to Raiden before the Skill explodes. Once the ability pops, the character inside it will gain ATK buff according to Kujou Sara’s Base ATK, and they also gain 60% Electro Crit DMG.
Kujou Sara is often seen as underwhelming when compared to other buffers like Bennett, but despite her lower ATK buff, the Electro-exclusive buff she grants at C6 can outperform the Pyro adventurer.

13Wanderer + Faruzan
Similar to Kujou Sara, Faruzan is also a niche support. She’s meant to be paired with Anemo DPS like Xiao and Wanderer, and she provides astonishing utilities at C6. Her C6 increases Anemo Crit DMG by 40%, which is lower than the typical 60%, but players shouldn’t underestimate it since she has a second effect. The second buff causes Faruzan to continuously crowd-control small enemies as long as the DPS is dealing their Anemo damage.
If all that is not convincing, here are other things Faruzan can add to the team: Reduce the enemy’s Anemo RES by 30%, increase Anemo damage bonus up to 38%, and grant a flat damage bonus based on 32% of Faruzan’s Base ATK (every 0.8s).

12Nilou + Nahida
Nilou is not a popular unit since she was highly limited upon release, but more people are now seeing her power as the Hydro andDendro roster inGenshin Impactquickly expands. Nilou team inGenshin Impactcan only consist of Dendro and Hydro characters, which means it highly limits the players' options.
Nahida is an amazing pair with Nilou since she effortlessly ensures the enemy is always affected by Dendro while Nilou can create an AoE of Hydro to trigger Bloom. Afterward, when the Bloom explodes, it’ll trigger Nahida’s Skill, allowing people to repeat the entire process of producing Bountiful Cores.

11Xiangling + Bennett
Even with the release of Fontaine,Xiangling inGenshin Impactremains the most reliable Pyro sub-DPS in the game. Unlike many other abilities in the game, Xiangling’s Burst,Pyronado, has no internal cooldown (ICD). This means on every hit, Xiangling will apply Pyro, allowing her to trigger Elemental Reactions more frequently.
However, the feature that makes Xiangling + Bennett an excellent pair is thesnapshotability of Pyronado. Snapshot means when players cast Xiangling’s Burst, the damage it deals will follow the stat Xiangling hasbeforethe cast and will remain like so throughout the entire duration. With Bennett, players can easily make Xiangling’s Pyronado retain the ATK buff he provides as long as the Liyue Chef casts her Burst on top of Bennett’sInspiration Field.

10Yun Jin And Yoimiya
When Yoimiya was first released, she faced a lot of issues and backlash, where she is seen as anunderwhelming DPS inGenshin Impact. While she still doesn’t have the absolutely perfect teammate, the release of Yun Jin in version 2.4 adds to the list of viable team compositions for Yoimiya.
Yun Jin’s Elemental Burst will buff her teammates' Normal Attack. As Yoimiya highly relies on this talent, Yun Jin becomes the perfect pair for her. However, it’s important to note that the damage buff from the Opera Performer does not scale with the bonus from Yoimiya’s Elemental Skill.

9Gorou And Itto
Itto is anotherGenshin Impactcharacter who scales with Defense. Just like most defensive characters, Itto also wields the Geo Vision. This makes Gorou the perfect pair for him.
The Canine Warrior is a support that grants Defense and Geo damage buff. His Elemental Skill gives a flat Defense bonus while his first Passive grants a 25% Defense bonus to his party after he casts his Burst. If players manage to get Gorou’s C6, the Watatsumi General can also add (up to) a 40% Geo Crit DMG.

8Hu Tao And Xingqiu
Hu Tao and Xingqiu are currently one of the most famous combos inGenshin Impact. Hu Tao’s damage alone is already above average. Matching her with one of the best Supports in the game can lead to greater results.
With Xingqiu, Hu Tao practically gains unlimited access to Vaporize, especially when using her Charged Attack. Xingqiu is also a deadly combo with Hu Tao when his Elemental Burst is active. Furthermore, Xingqiu provides protection and minor healing for Hu Tao. Hu Tao shouldn’t be healed excessively as she performs better with low HP, so Xingqiu is the perfect pair for her.

7Sucrose And Xiao
Xiao is an outstanding DPS inGenshin Impact, but most of his damage comes from his Elemental Burst. This means players should aim for 100% uptime on his Vigilant Yaksha state, and this is where his weakness lies. Xiao’s Elemental Skill does decent damage, but it’s not enough to fill his own Elemental Burst. For this reason, he desperately needs a battery.
Sucrose is the perfect batteryfor Xiao, especially if players have her first Constellation and equip her with Sacrificial Fragments. Sucrose offers crowd control and an Elemental Mastery boost. Moreover, having two Anemo in one team will activate the Anemo Resonance, which decreases the team’s skills Cooldown.

6Eula And Raiden Shogun
Eula is currently the best Physical DPS in Genshin Impact. As a Cryo unit, all Eula needs is a good Electro Support, and none is better at that job than the Raiden Shogun herself. The Electro Archon can easily trigger Superconduct with Eula. This reduces enemies' resistance to Physical damage.
Not only that, but Eula’s Elemental Burst hits really hard. With Raiden’s support, Eula will gain up to 24% Elemental Burst damage addition. This is a better bonus than Noblesse Oblige. With Raiden Shogun, it’s easy for Eula to reach her maximum potential.

5Kazuha And Bennett
As an Anemo character,Kazuha has the abilityto infuse an Element with his kit. Elemental Infusion can occur when he uses Anemo on an enemy affected by Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo. Moreover, Elemental Infusion can also occur when Kazuha is affected by an Element himself.
When Bennett uses his Elemental Burst, he applies Pyro on Kazuha. This allows Kazuha to easily get Pyro infusion on his Burst and Skill. Bennett will also buff Kazuha’s Attack while Kazuha will buff everyone’s Pyro damage bonus. Furthermore, if players own Bennett’s sixth Constellation, Kazuha can also deal Pyro damage on his Normal Attacks, allowing him to be a Pyro Main DPS.
