Gearbox Software is calling this aBorderlands 3Black Fridayevent that is starting a little earlier than normal. The main part of the event is a free-to-play weekend forBorderlands 3. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can download and play the game right now. Just search forBorderlands 3and click on the “Try Free Demo” in the game’s profile. The PS4 free weekend will last until November 25 at 9:00 am PT and the Xbox One free weekend will last until November 24 at 11:59 pm PT. For the time being, Gearbox has no plans to offer a PC free-to-play weekend.

The free-to-play weekend event coincides with a Black Friday sale forBorderlands 3on both PS4 and Xbox One. The game is up to 33% off depending on the platform, but getting the full discount on the Microsoft store requires a Xbox Live Gold account.
