The majority of the story ofThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildis shown through the game’s memory cutscenes, which tell players what happened 100 years prior to the present time. One extremely dedicatedBreath of the Wildfan has decided to show their passion in a big way by literally weaving the story into their tapestry.
After completingBreath of the Wild’s tutorial area on The Great Plateau, players meet up with the old man who had been guiding them up to that point. He will tell them a brief introduction to what has happened to Hyrule in the last 100 years, and the story is told on a piece of tapestry. On the tapestry is an image depicting Calamity Gano fighting Link, surrounded by the autonomous Guardians, and the Divine Beasts in the four corners with Hyrule Castle on the top.

Reddit user Laialda showed off their incredible tapestry recreated in the style of the tapestry shown off in theBreath of the Wildstory. They’re only about 50% of the way through the tapestry, but what they have right now is a very faithful depiction of what was shown off inBreath of the Wild. They mentioned that what they have now has taken up the better part of two years, with a good number of progress being made in recent months.
The comment section is full of praise for Laialda for their work on the tapestry and getting it quite accurate. Considering that it is being woven on a tapestry, the time and work that must have gone into making it must be immense. They mention that making just one of the manyGuardians from theBreath of the Wildtapestry takes an hour to do and there looks to be around 100 or so, with many more still left to go.
