It’s been almost a year sinceCall of Duty: Mobilereleased, and the free-to-play title seems to be showing no signs of slowing down. Boasting one of the largest mobile game launches in history, thehandheldCall of Dutyhas generated over $327 million USD since then, with over 250 million downloads.
The title offers many of the features and gameplay modes that are familiar to fans of the long-runningCall of Dutyseries. Players can fight in ranked or un-ranked multiplayer battles, all while earning Credits and CoD Points to spend on upgrades. Essential Supplies
The Solstice Awakened event offers three new resources, or currencies, that canearned through playingCoD Mobile: Petrol, Toilet Paper, and Rations. These can be traded in to unlock rewards in the Exchange Center, but are only earned by playing on the correct playlist. Of the three, Petrol is the most difficult to earn, and is only available for eight days of the event’s fourteen day run.
To earn Petrol, and claim the limited-time rewards in the Exchange Center, players need to make sure they’re on the correct playlist each day. Thankfully, there’s already a full schedule showing what to play and when:
Guzzling Gas
To earn Petrol, first queue up for aCall of Duty Mobilematchin the playlist listed for that date. Once in the Solstice Awakened match, each kill counts towards earning the free resources. Simply playing normally is enough to begin accruing resources, which can then be taken back to the Exchange Center after the game is over.
The event ends on July 30, so there’s not much time left to earn the rewards. It’s almost certain that once Solstice Awakened ends, any remaining Petrol, Rations, or Toilet Paper will be removed from the game. Therefore, players should ensure to earn some and buy what they want from the Exchange Center as soon as possible. Some of the items in the Center, like theMan-O-War, require specific amounts of each of the three resources, so it’s worth shopping around a little first.
