TheCall of Duty: Modern Warfaremid-season update was a sizable one, adding a slew of new content to the popular first-person shooter. However, not all of the promised game modes were added toModern Warfareand theWarzonebattle royale as part of the mid-season update as promised. Two modes in particular are missing, leavingCall of Dutyfans to wonder when they may be added to the game.
After downloading theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 4 Reloaded update, fans may notice that the promised return of Gunfight Tournaments is nowhere to be found.Gunfight Tournamentswas one of the returning modes said to be coming with the mid-season update, and while it’s mentioned in the patch notes, it doesn’t appear to actually be in the game. Infinity Ward has so far given no reason as to why this is, but perhaps more information will come later in the week.

Meanwhile,Call of Duty: Warzoneis missing a promised mode as well. Fans were expecting theJuggernaut Royale modeto finally make its debut in the game with the mid-season update, but there’s no mention of it in the patch notes and it’s currently not available in the game. Again, no reason for its absence has been given, but this wouldn’t be the first time that game modes weren’t released inModern Warfarewhen expected.
While these modes are missing from the latest update,Call of Dutyfans can expect them to make their debut sooner rather than later. There is still about a month left ofModern WarfareSeason 4, and it’s quite likely that the modes will debut before Season 4 ends. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising to see one of the modes added as early as next week, since Infinity Ward releases newCall of Dutyupdates on a weekly basis.
In the meantime, there are plenty of other new modes forCall of Dutyfans to try out. The standardModern Warfaremultiplayer component has added the new Team Defender mode for fans to try, and there is currently aWarzone200 player battle royale modeas well. The latter will only be available for a limited time, though, so anyone interested should be sure to playCall of Duty: Warzonethis week.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
