Late last year whenCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warcontent was integrated withCall of Duty: Warzone, one of the big additions to the battle royale was attack helicopters. These attack helicopters included turrets that passengers could use while flying over Verdansk, allowing for a much less passive experience. Unfortunately, a pretty serious glitch was found to be associated withCall of Duty: Warzone’s attack helicopters, and so it didn’t take long for them to be removed from the game.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s removal of attack helicopters was only ever meant to be a temporary thing until the developers sorted out the issue. However, it’s been months since attack helicopters were removed, and they’ve now just finally been added back to the battle royale. As of the latest update,Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers can once again find attack helicopters for use throughout theVerdansk battle royale map.

This is good news for fans that likedCall of Duty: Warzone’s attack helicopters, but unfortunately, it seems as though the glitch they were causing is still plaguing the game. For the uninitiated, the attack helicopters inCall of Duty: Warzoneallowed for an invisibility glitch exploit, and it seems that they still do. With the invisibility glitch still in the game, it seems likely thatCall of Duty: Warzone’s attack helicopterswill be removed yet again sooner rather than later.
What’s strange about theCall of Duty: Warzoneattack helicopters return is that they weren’t mentioned in the patch notes for theSeason 2 Reloaded update. This has become par for the course when it comes toCall of Duty: Warzone, but one would think something as big as the attack helicopters returning would warrant a mention in the patch notes. In any case, the attack helicopters weren’t the only secret change made to the game.
Reports from various players suggest thatCall of Duty: Warzonesecretly nerfed the FFARwith the latest update. The FFAR has been a controversial weapon for some time in the game, as many have criticized it as being one ofWarzone’s most overpowered weapons. Nerfing the FFAR seems like a move that would be well-received by the community, so it’s unclear why it wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes either.
Fans can expect futureCall of Duty: Warzoneupdates to make secret changes to the game as well, though the vast majority of the changes are sure to be documented in patch notes. As it stands, the next bigCall of Duty: Warzoneupdate is expected to kick offSeason 3 of theBlack Ops Cold Warintegration, which will apparently include the destruction of the existing Verdansk battle royale map via nuclear missile, if leaks are to be believed.
