Capcom released a series of funny car warning stickers for various situations, featuring some popular characters from theResident Evilfranchise. These stickers let drivers show their love for theResident Evilgames while being useful as a warning for others on the road.
Resident Evilis one of the most iconic franchises from Capcom, being as popular as ever 27 years after the release of its first game on the original PlayStation. In 2022,Resident Evilwas Capcom’s biggest game series with over 135 million units sold across the world whileMonster Huntercomes in second place with a mere 90 million game unit sales. The success ofResident Evildoesn’t seem to end, with various new installments and remakes already in the works. With the upcoming release ofResident Evil 4,Capcom is expecting to break its sales records this year, expecting over 40 million units sold for this remake.

While players arewaiting for the release ofResident Evil 4on March 24, Capcom revealed six funny car warning stickers featuring references to theResident Evilfranchise. Drivers who would like to reuse their sticker can opt for a car sign version with a suction back so that they can remove it and reposition it later. The car stickers will cost 880 JPY, or around $6.70, while the car signs will cost 1,430 JPY, which roughly amounts to $10.85. TheResident Evilcar stickers and car signs will join the digital and physical Capcom stores on July 05, 2025.
All of these car stickers are funny references toResident Evil, from the infamous helicopters that became a meme because of how easily they were destroyed stating “Safe Drive” to Lady Dimitrescu appearing on a “Watch Your Head” warning sign. The “Take Care of Falling Objects” shows a Licker falling from the ceiling to attack an unsuspecting character. One of the stickers is a reference to Tofu, a simple polygonal model that Capcom used to test collision detection and was later introduced as a secret character inResident Evil 2. The “Baby in the Car” sticker is adiscrete reference toResident Evil Village, showing Rose asleep with her stuffed monkey.
The car stickers will be available three days before the release of thehighly anticipatedResident Evil 4remakethat will revisit the adventures of Leon S. Kennedy as he tries to save the US president’s daughter, Ashley Graham, who was kidnapped by a strange cult in Spain. The original version of this game was one of the most popular in the entire franchise, and the upcoming remake further improves its dark atmosphere while providing enhanced controls and bringing new enemies for Leon to face.
