On that note, Reddit user DragonSych recently stumbled upon a bug that can apparently make some enemies much better at avoiding getting blown up than others. They did so by throwing a grenade at trio of Scavengers, only to see one of them sprint right into their face at a ridiculous speed, thus avoiding the explosion completely. And though the player’s dramatic style of editing made the footage of the incident seem like something straight out of a horror movie, the experience itself was apparently pretty scary as is.

While some players chiming in on this incident postulated that the swift Scavenger simply usedone ofCyberpunk 2077’sSandevistansto slow down time, which is something that hostile NPCs are capable of doing in 2.0 version of the game, not everyone agreed with that assessment. Namely, the way that the enemy went from crouching in one frame to being at full sprint speed the next made some fans suspect that this particular reaction to a grenade throw might not have been intended by the developers.

Assuming that’s indeed the case, CD Projekt Red is likely to fix the problematic behavior moving forward. Although the 2.0 update is likely the last major free patch forCyberpunk 2077, CDPR has historically followed up on such releases with multiple hotfixes addressing issues that slipped through the cracks during development. Moreover, the fact that theCyberpunk 2077update 2.0 even fixed one minor art oversightin the game shows that no issue is necessarily considered too small for the developer to tackle.

In the meantime, players who find the latest version ofCyberpunk 2077too challenging might want to consider lowering the game’s difficulty or starting a new playthrough. The latter option should be particularly useful for slowly getting accustomed to the new perks and the overall improved speed of combat.
