Ryan Reynolds’Free Guymovie has taken so long to come out he’s even making it part of his latest wall-breaking social media posts asDeadpool. The latest of these posts is a reaction video toFree Guy’s latest trailer and it features a very special guest.

Ever since Disney’s 21st Century Fox came bundled with theDeadpoolproperty,Reynolds has had a blast teasing fanswith jokes on how Mr. Pool could finally end up making his definitive crossover with the rest of the MCU’s heroes, especially since moviegoers know Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige wants to keepDeadpoolas the company’s only R-rated movie offering. Now it seems that Wade Wilson representatives are striking some ground to make his working relationship with the MCU official.

In order to promote the forever delayedFree Guy, Reynolds suited up as Deadpool to channel his inner YouTuber and record a reaction video to the movie’s trailer. In the video, the Merc with a Mouth is joined by special Disney-owned guests such asThor: Ragnarok’s Korgand a dalmatian that definitely does not appear inCruella, as Deadpool kindly points out. The entire clip is hilarious, with Reynolds constantly asking Korg just what it will take to finally get his well-deserved MCU crossover debut, though Deadpool seems less than happy to be stuck with a rocky comic relief instead of a bigger household name.

This earlyDeadpool/Thorcrossover is similar to encounters from Marvel Comics, which involved iconic scenes like Deadpool lifting Thor’s Mjolnir hammer, although it was a fake copy created byLoki as part of one of his schemes. Since two-timeThordirector Taika Waititi has a role inFree Guy, maybe he chimed in to help Reynolds book usage of his own Korg role and seize the perfect opportunity for a truly layered crossover that ends up givingFree Guya tasty rating of four out of five avocados.

Among the few details made clear by this newFree Guytrailer is the fact that the movie won’t be available for streaming on Disney Plus, despiteBlack Widow’s massive early successin that format. However, with movie theaters showing signs of a confirmed recovery, Reynolds' video game adventure might be able to deliver the type of commercial success the studio has been holding out for this past year.

Free Guystar Reynolds as Guy, a video game NPC whose life gets turned upside down when he learns he lives a make-belief open-world video game. The world of the film bears a slight resemblance toGrand Theft Autowith some hints ofFortnite,so there will probably a whole bunch of video game references that alone might just make the movie worth watching.

Free Guyis scheduled for release on Aug 07, 2025, andDeadpool 3is currently in development at Marvel Studios.
