Last October,Kojima Productionsconfirmed that 505 Games would releaseDeath Strandingfor PC in 2020 – an announcement that delighted many fans who previously understood the game to be a PS4 exclusive. Now, the publisher has come forward with an exactDeath StrandingPC release date, while also providing further details on this highly-anticipated new version of the game.
The PC launch ofDeath Strandingis now set for August 07, 2025, and the game will be available through Steam, through the Epic Games Store, and as a physical release. This means that fans have just three months to wait before they can experience Hideo Kojima’s divisive new title on PC, and they will find that this new version contains “a bunch of exciting content and features” not seen in its PS4 counterpart.

Among these exciting offerings are a newphoto mode, something that PS4 players have been asking for sinceDeath Strandingreleased back in November 2019, as well as ultra-wide monitor and high frame rate support. Additionally,Death Strandingfor PC will contain cross-over content from Valve’s legendary first-person shooterHalf-Life, including a Headcrab cap that Sam can don to a somewhat unsettling effect.
For those players that are interested in pre-orderingDeath Strandingfor PC, a number of bonuses are available. These pre-order bonuses include HD wallpapers, a Chiral Gold and Omnireflector cap and pair of SAM sunglasses, and a gold and silver speed skeleton and armor plate. Furthermore, anyone that purchasesDeath Strandingfor PC will receive a gold and silverpower skeleton, all-terrain skeleton, and armor plate (LV2) as well as a Chiral Gold and Omnireflector pair of Ludens sunglasses.
