Destiny 2’s Season of Dawn has been out for over a week now, bringing a slew of changes to Bungie’s looter-shooter. Players have dived into the new activities and challenges, and are already collecting high-tier loot. The new Season brings time-travel shenanigans toDestiny 2’s universe, with players hunting old enemies in the Sundial.
At the core ofSeason of Dawnis the new currency, Polarized Fractaline, which is required to buy weapons and mods. Due to some vague reason involving the space-time continuum, the currency will expire at the end of the season. Because of this, players have a limited time to gather, and spend, as much as they can.

All the Methods
One of the simplest ways to acquire Polarized Fractaline is through theSundial activity, which gives 10. Although this isn’t much, players will most likely be running the activity fairly frequently for its other rewards. It’s also possible to earn Polarized Fractaline through completing Triumphs, which is a good way to get an early boost.
Aside from drops and leveling the season pass, the final way to earn Fractaline is through Bounties. Osiris on Mercury offers Bounties, and so do theObelisksthat players will visit frequently throughout the Season. These weekly Obelisk Bounties reward a Major Fractaline Harvest, which is worth an impressive 100.
Many Hands Make Light Work
As has sometimes been the case in previous series, multiple characters are the key toseriously farmingFractaline. Each account can have three characters attached to it, and each of them can complete an Obelisk’s Weekly Bounties. That’s 600 Polarized Fractaline per Obelisk per week, outperforming any of the other activities.
For those players who are really serious about grinding the new resource however, there is an even more extreme method. There’s no limitation on earning the Weekly Bounties as a new character, and anyone can reach the first Obelisk fairly quickly. This means that if a player has a free character slot they can use it to farm for therest of the Season. This is done by making a new character, completing the Bounties, and then deleting the character. So by repeating this process its possible for a player to grind huge amount of Polarized Fractaline in a comparably short time.
