Destiny 2’s next Season might be a few hours away from starting, but developer Bungie wants players to know there may be some issues at/near launch. The studio released a rundown of known issues inDestiny 2that players may encounter while experiencingSeason of Dawn content.
Arguably the most important of the known issues is thatDestiny 2players must link an Obelisk to the Sundial in order to claim rewards. It’s unclear what this means in the context of the Sundial since the activity is not yet live, but if players are unsure why they are not receiving rewards, there is a fix.

Several of the issues are tied to the Savior title and seal, which are new for Season of Dawn. According to Bungie, the seal says that it requires the completion of 28 different triumphs but there are only 15 available. This is merely an error in the description; if players complete the 15 Triumphs they will unlock the Savior title.
However, the newDestiny 2title itself might be impossible to acquire because three Season 9 Triumphs won’t progress. Challenges won’t progress with weekly challenge completion, Rituals won’t progress with Gambit bounties orInfamy rank, and Engagement won’t progress with banked motes.
On its face this may seem like a major issue since it likely blocks completion of the Savior seal, but there is still time-gated content preventing that anyway. TheSundial activityhas three other bosses that will be added throughoutDestiny 2: Season of Dawnand two exotic weapon quests. So by the time players actually have all of the activities necessary to earn the Savior title, these listed issues should be resolved.
Given the list of known issues ahead of launch, there areplenty ofDestiny 2players wonderingwhether or not Bungie is shipping them a broken or bugged product. ManyDestiny 2content drops have included known issues and usually there are at least a few that crop up once players get hands on time with the activities. But as long as it doesn’t prevent people from actually playingDestiny 2then Bungie is going to roll out Season of Dawn regardless.
That being said, Season of Dawn is on the lighter side compared to past seasonal releases. This is the first time Bungie has dropped mid-year content without the help of another studio and thus full development duties fall on them. Fans will see whether or that is a good thing or a bad thing in a few hours.
