Blizzard has released a newDiablo 4Hardcore Victory challenge, offering players the chance of earning an incredible reward. Gamers willsoon be able to preloadDiablo 4to make sure they’re at the front of the pack for this challenge.

Hype forDiablo 4is reaching critical mass ahead of its release in a few days' time. The recentbeta forDiablo 4sold players on the game, and they’re now ready and waiting for the full game to finally release. Initially, gamers were wary of the new title after last year’sDiablo Immortalwas branded a disappointment due to its aggressive microtransactions. While microtransactions do appear to be present inDiablo 4, they’re purely cosmetic so have no huge bearing on the gameplay experience overall. Now that gamers have actually played the game, it’s clear it won’t be taking the same route asDiablo Immortal.

The challenge rules are simple, the first 1,000 players to show that they’ve reached level 100 inDiablo 4’s hardcore modeand earned the “Tempered Champion” title in-game will have their username immortalized into a statue of the game’s antagonist, Lilith. This won’t be automatically tracked by Blizzard, though so players who have completed the challenge must provide proof with a screenshot on Twitter, alongside their BattleNet ID, and the use of the hashtag #Diablo4Hardcore. It must be purely player-completed, any challenge completed by script, macro, or any other automated means will be declared void.

Those that have submitted their contest entry and are within the first 1,000 to reach level 100 in hardcore mode will be contacted by Blizzard directly as confirmation of their win. The contest opens on June 1 and then closes a few days later on June 4, so only players with early access toDiablo 4from the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions will only be able to take part. Three days is certainly a short window to get this challenge over the line, but if any group can, it’sDiabloplayers.

Blizzard has been massively ramping up the marketing for the game lately, with this contest the latest in a line of fun gimmicks to get players interested in the game. A couple of months ago,Diablo 4went to Milan Fashion Weekwith a variety of interesting outfits inspired by the game. It will be interesting to see what else the studio does prior to its release, with expectations for the game sky-high at the moment.
