The second set of Disney’s massively popular trading card gameLorcanahas been fully unveiled, alongside the announcement of a new Disney100 Edition anniversary collection. The first set ofLorcanais now available, though it’s selling so fast that retailers rarely have stock. That isn’t slowingDisneyand partner Ravensburger down, however. It’s already planning the arrival ofLorcana’s second set, subtitledRise of the Floodborn, for later this year.

The first set of Disney’sLorcana, subtitledThe First Chapter, officially launched on September 1. The set was pre-launched in hobbyist stories weeks prior, but limited availability has made both launches understated.The First Chapterfeatures 216 cards, with 204 making up the base deck and 12 additionalvery rare Enchanted cards. If interested players can find them in stores,Lorcanacards can be purchased via starter decks and booster packs, or via promotional bundles like theLorcanaGift Set and Illumineer’s Trove.

Disney isn’t going to wait for itsLorcanasupply issues to be fixed to prepare for what’s coming next, though. IntroducingRise of the Floodborn,Lorcana’s second official set. It’s tentatively planned to launch in hobbyist stores on November 17, followed by major retailers on December 1.Rise of the Floodbornis confirmed to feature over 200 new cards, with new Disney properties features includingThe Great Mouse Detective,The Jungle Book,Pinocchio,The Princess and the Frog,Raya and the Last Dragon,Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,Winnie the Pooh, andZootopia.

In addition toRise of the Floodborn, Disney has also revealed a limited edition Disney100 anniversary collection. This too will be launching on December 1, but as a $49.99 premium product. The Disney100 Edition features six cards, four fromThe First Chapterand two fromRise of the Floodborn, each with new artwork, a special frame design, a foil finish, and the artist’s signature. The cards are Emerald Genie, Ruby Stitch, Sapphire Maleficent, and Steel Maui fromThe First Chapter, as well as Amber Mickey Mouse and Amethyst Elsa fromRise of the Floodborn.

Rise of the Floodbornwill be offered in an identical way toThe First Chapter. Two newLorcana starter decks, an Amber/Sapphire deck for The Queen and Gaston and an Amethyst/Steel deck with Merlin and Tiana, will each retail for $16.99. Booster packs will remain $5.99. Plus, there will be a newRise of the FloodbornIllumineer’s Trove available for $49.99.

To someLorcanaplayers' surprise, an official comment was also made regarding the availability of the TCG in stores. Work is said to be ongoing behind the scenes to try and “meet current demand.” Unfortunately, it’s unclear if that means supply will be increasing forThe First Chapteror not. It’s likely safe to assume thatLorcanawill remain difficult to find on store shelves for the foreseeable future. Disney appears to have created a verypopular and successful TCGwithLorcana.
