The GRE key inDying Light 2plays a pivotal role in the story, and players are faced with a choice when they are talking to Frank about the device. After finding Frank, both Aiden and the player are left disappointed when thefabled Nightrunner commanderturns out to be a drunkard that refuses to assist Aiden and Lawan with the GRE Key. Players are then given the choice of whether to simply drop the matter and escape with Lawan, or to “Press Frank for the GRE Key.”
Many choices inDying Light 2have overarching consequences, so making any decision can be nerve-wracking. To make matters worse, choosing to Press Frank for the GRE Key only unlocks further dialogue choices where players can continue to press him. It almost feels as if the game is giving the player multiple chances to back out.

Should Players Press Frank For The GRE Key?
The good news is that the player’s decision on whether to Press Frank for the GRE Key has no impact on the story outside of this one conversation. Aiden’s relationship with Frank will remain unchanged, andDying Light 2’s endingalso is not affected. In fact, the only thing that happens when players repeatedly press Frank is that he will repeatedly use colorful language to tell Aiden and Lawan to leave. He does just a little bit more insight on the GRE Key, explaining that it can be used to open doors and start the electricity, but that’s about it.
When players choose to leave with Lawan, she will approach Frank and have a final word with him before a horn signals that the Fish Eye is under attack. When choosing instead to Press Frank for the GRE Key, eventually Frank will run out of dialogue and the exact same scene will play out. Because of this, it’s actuallyrecommended to Press Frank for the GRE Key as it does end up giving a little more context about both the key and Frank’s character.While there are plenty ofimportant decisions to make inDying Light 2, this just isn’t one of them. Players should feel free to Press Frank for the GRE Key if they want to see him tell off Aiden a few times, or they can simply leave with Lawan and skip this bit of dialogue.
