Earlier this year,Elden Ringwas met with critical praise and an adoring fan base after it hit store shelves. Thus far,Elden Ringhas reportedly sold over 13.4 million copies and is the FromSoftware’s fastest-selling game. Like previous games made by the studio, it is notable for its high difficulty and depressing setting. Unfortunately, at the time of its initial release, the game was also known for being rather buggy.

The PC version of the game bore the majority of the criticism, as theSteam version ofElden Ringwas initially met with mixed reviews because of performance issues. Many of these issues have since been patched out, and the current Steam reviews for the game are listed as “Very Positive.” However, regardless of how many times a developer patches a game, some issues and quirks will remain.

SinceElden Ringwas released, players have shared their own encounters with the game’s bizarre quirks and glitches. One of the funnier bugs shows anElden Ringenemy glitching at the top of a ladderwhere he crouches on it over and over again. In a more recent post, Reddit user Educational-Price-40 revealed a peculiar glitch where the player character wouldn’t sit down at a Site of Lost Grace, but still had the full menu available.

Despite the fact thatElden Ringis technically an original intellectual property, it is remarkably similar to theDark Soulsgames. Both involve the player character killing a handful of incredibly powerful entities in order to obtain their power. Furthermore, this power is used to fuel a vague cosmic force that keeps a supposed Golden Age going arguably past its time. The two franchises are so similar, in fact, that even George R.R. Martin once referred toElden Ringas aDark Soulssequel. The Sites of Lost Grace are one of these similar elements.

InElden Ring, Sites of Lost Grace have a similar function to Bonfires in theDark Soulsgames. The player rests at these locations, recharges their health, replenishes healing potions, and levels up. In addition, players can also fast travel between these locations. Character deaths that occur right before getting to these locations can be particularly heartbreaking due to lost progress. In some instances, however, the Sites Of Lost Grace inElden Ringaren’t always relaxing, with onelocated near a Walking Mausoleum. When a glitch in the game ensures the player cannot even sit down at the site, it can make these kinds of locations all the more disturbing.

Elden Ringis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
