Utilizing the weapon skill on Malenia, Blade of Miquella’s sword, oneElden Ringplayer manages to get themselves into an inaccessible area under the city of Royal Capital, Leyndell.Elden Ring, while fairly polished, still can be broken by the many people that play it, either bymaking overpowered mimic tears that take downElden Ring’s toughest bossor getting enemies stuck in places. One player managed to break the game by getting underneath the map of Leyndell with the help of the weapon ofElden Ring’s toughest boss.

Malenia, Blade of Miquella, is the toughest boss in the game, famously known for taking somehigh-levelElden Ringplayers hundreds of deaths to take her down. One of the toughest attacks in her first phase is the Waterfowl Dance, an attack that has Malenia dash forward in an extended flurry of slices and slashes that usually take most players down before they can even try to fight back. Thankfully, when players actually obtain Malenia’s blade, known as the Hand of Malenia, this one attack is the weapon skill for it, allowing players to replicate her famous flurry, with the ability to extend the combo at the expense of more FP.

OneElden Ringplayer utilized this weapon skill to get down into places where they didn’t belong. Posting to r/Eldenring, a user named Gullible-Count uploaded a video of them starting up from the Queen’s Bedchamber Site of Grace and going outside to use the Waterfowl Dance to get across to a tower. Leyndell, and its ashen equivalent seen in the video, is a sprawling city of halls and buildings, including walls of towering structures with lips that can be stood upon, and this player makes use of these to get from one safe spot to the next, traversing paths not meant to be traveled.

At a couple of points, there is some trouble, but they still manage to use the Waterfowl Dance to not just slow their descent but direct themselves in a better way, so they can land safely. Finally, they reach the bottom of the map, which could still be stood on, under the humongous mound of ash that once was the city of Leyndell. While it didn’t lead to anything major, it’s an interesting use of the Waterfowl Dance attack and can definitely help in finding ways toskip parts ofElden Ringsuch as the Frenzy Flaming Tower.
