The PlayStation 5 is officially releasing on November 12, but it doesn’t have a clear distinction between generations. Most games are cross-generational, dismissing the idea of a true next-generation experience. Sony wants to continue supporting the Ps4 audience while allowing games to perform better on Ps5.

The newestBorderlandsentry did not reinvent the formula from its predecessor. It brought the same chaotic first-person shooter looter gameplay we are all familiar with. Because of this, it fell to the sidelines of 2019 releases. Maybe it will gain some respect when fans get to play it in 60 FPS via PlayStation 5.
22Cyberpunk 2077
The most anticipated game of the year is releasing for both consoles. The belovedWitcher 3: Wild Huntdevelopers are dipping their feet in theCyberpunkgenre.

20Destiny 2
Bungie launched the live service genre with their first-person shooter,Destiny. The sequel will be an ever-evolving game and we’re unlikely to see a third entry. The game will continue getting bigger with Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, and a third expansion.
19DIRT 5
DIRT 5,the classic off-road racing game, releases on October 16. PlayStation 4 owners can upgrade from 60 FPS to 120 FPS when they get the PS5 version for free. This entry also adds user-made levels and everyone’s favorite voice actors:Troy BakerandNolan North.
18Doom Eternal

The annualFIFArelease is coming to both PS4 and PS5, just ensure to upgrade it before the inevitable FIFA 2021 comes out. FIFA 20 releases on October 9, pushed from its original release window of September.
15Hitman 3 - Digital Only
The sandbox of killing returns withHitman 3, announced at Sony’s first games showcase. The biggest addition to the franchise is VR support, which will switch the game from a third-person perspective to a first-person perspective. Make sure to buy the digital version if you want a PS5 upgrade.
