What is Far Cry 6’s Stranger Things Crossover?
Despite not even being out yet,Far Cry 6has already received a post-launch overview trailer detailing what Ubisoft is planning to add to the game following its launch. This trailer highlighted a number of interesting modesFar Cry 6is set to receive, and has fans looking beyondthe release ofFar Cry 6next month. One of the more interesting reveals in this trailer was a crossover with the Netflix showStranger Things, which sees the realm of The Upside Down feature inFar Cry 6. The title of theStranger ThingsandFar Cry 6crossover will beThe Vanishing, which alludes to the DLC’s main conflict.
There was only a brief snippet included in the post-launch overview trailer, which sawFar Cry 6’s Juan Cortez giving the bulk of the information on the DLC. This section of the trailer features theStranger Thingstheme, combined with Juan Cortez saying that “Nothing scares Juan Cortez, but that thing…”. This is followed by a slow pan up revealing a version of Yara that appears to be in The Upside Down, with its trademark overgrown roots and red storm clouds.

Little else is known, but Juan Cortez alludes to the fact thatFar Cry 6’s lovable dog, Chorizo, has gone missing in The Upside Down. It seems that this will be the main story of the DLC, with the objective to venture into the unknown in search of Chorizo, while potentially dealing with the dreaded Demogorgon.
Far Cry 6’s Mission DLC
Far Cry 6’s Stranger Things crossover is just one of three missions that will be made available post-launch. The first will seeFar Cry 6’s Dani Rojasteam up with Danny Trejo in “Danny & Dani Vs. Everybody.” This looks set to be an action-packed mission in which Dani “helps Trejo feed his tasty Trejos Tacos to the good citizens across Yara.” The trailer makes it clear that it will be paying homage to Robert Rodriguez’sMachetefranchise. As is the case with theFar Cry 6xStranger Thingscrossover, details are fairly scarce on Danny & Dani Vs. Everybody, but it seems as though it will be an exciting crossover.
In between the Danny Trejo and theStranger Thingscrossovers is a great one for fans of 80s action heroes.Far Cry 6’s post-launch content will seeRambocome to the game, or at least a very dedicatedRambofan. UnlikeBlack Ops Cold War’sRambocrossover, which saw Sylvester Stallone feature as a playable character in the game,Far Cry 6has taken a different approach.Far Cry 6will not feature the actualRambo; instead, Dani will team up with a “Rambosuperfan” to take down the Yaran military.

While the superfan may not actually beRambo, they have certainly dressed the part, withRambo’strademark headband, over-the-shoulder bullet belt, and all. The trailer didn’t feature any gameplay of this mission but from the looks of it, it will contain just as much over the top action as the 80s action movie inspirations.

As well as the villains DLC, fans will receive fan-favoriteFar Cry 3: Blood Dragonby subscribing to the season pass. All in all, it seems that the season pass forFar Cry 6is going to bring back a lot of memories and familiar faces for long-time fans of the series.
Far Cry 6’s Villains DLC features three of thebestFar Cryvillainsin Vaas, Pagan Min, and Joseph Seed, who will lead the narrative of the DLC as playable characters. From the looks of it, players will be sent on a trip down memory lane. According to Ubisoft, the villains DLC will include roguelike mechanics, and each episode will be playable in co-op with a friend. Players will gather resources, kill enemies, and purchase new gear, but players should be careful as their death can see them lose their progress in a similar way toDeathloop.
