World of Warcraftis about to make farming a particularly-long raid from the past a lot easier. This convenient feature will make the lives ofWorld of Warcraftplayers who want the rare cosmetic items from this raid much better.

The Siege of Orgrimmar raid was the capstone encounter at the end of theWorld of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. Players must battle their way on a long journey through the Horde capital city of Orgrimmar, after which they must defeat the treacherousWarchief Garrosh Hellscream ofWoWinfamy. Though over 10 years old, players still farm this raid regularly for rare items that drop from the final boss.

As of Patch 10.1.5, however, farming the Siege of Orgrimmar is going to be a lot easier. According to the patch notes on arecent build of theWoWPatch 10.1.5 Public Test Realm, players who have defeated Garrosh at least once will be able to skip directly to him on all characters on their account. They can do this by reading the scroll hanging near the wall next to Loremaster Cho at the beginning of the instance, meaning each character can complete this raid in a matter of minutes.

Among the various drops from Garrosh in this raid, the Kor’kron Juggernaut and the Tusks of Mannoroth are the most coveted. The Kor’kron Juggernaut mechanical scorpion is one of the rarestmounts inWorld of Warcraftwith a drop chance of about 1%, while the Tusks of Mannoroth–designed after the shoulder armor of Garrosh himself–have a drop chance of about .2%. Given how many times the average player will have to complete the raid to get these items, this new shortcut is a lifesaver.

Many fans are overjoyed to see this raid skip mechanic implemented. Some players burnt themselves out on farming the raid but could be more inclined to try again with such an efficient shortcut available. Many also hopeWorld of Warcraftwill do the same for other raidsin the future–especially lengthy, frequently-farmed ones like Icecrown Citadel and Dragon Soul.

Patch 10.1.5 will be a great time for Orc fans who want to imitate Garrosh Hellscream’s look.World of Warcraftis finally letting players obtain Gorehowl, his iconic axe, as a transmog soon. Grom Hellscream, Garrosh’s father, will appear in the time-twisting Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon coming in the content update, leading many players to speculate the weapon will drop from the encounter. While Patch 10.1.5 does not have a solid release date yet, players can expect it to arrive within the next couple of months.
