Like all the other regions in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the Gongaga Region has various secrets that are just waiting to be uncovered. This particular area is unlocked during Chapter 9 ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This particular biome is very challenging to traverse, as some places cannot be reached on foot.
As players walkthrough the Gongaga Region, they will notice some massive mushrooms and vines. They won’t be able to use them unless they get their hands on the Forest Chocobo. The path tothe Fungi Forest Tower(Activation Intel 5) inthe Gongaga Regionis also locked and can only be accessed after obtaining the Chocobo.
Where To Find The Forest Chocobo In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
The Jungle Chocobo has the unique ability to travel across certain vines and jump across mushrooms, allowing players to explore new regions. This particular Chocobo can be unlocked by playing the main story. Tifa’s group is providedwith the Jungle Chocobosby Cissnei, after which the bird will become permanently available.

After getting their hands on the Chocobo, players can finallyreach Activation Intel 5. The tower is marked on the map, so it isn’t difficult to see where it is. However, the real challenge is reaching and activating theFungi Forest Tower.
