Final Fantasy 7’s file size will be a whopper, according to the new information. This shouldn’t come as too big a surprise, though; even though the game will only tackle a portion ofFinal Fantasy 7’s full story, Square Enix has already stated that the each part of theFinal Fantasy 7 Remakewill be the equivalent of a full gamein size and scope.

Fans won’t have to clear much space to enjoy theFinal Fantasy 7 Remakedemo, but they may need to make a few deletions to clear enough space for the full game. The demo is coming in at 10.2 GB, whereas the full game will be a whopping 73.7 GB. This gives the game a larger file size than titles likeControland even the open-worldDeath Stranding, but it’s still dwarfed by games likeCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s massive download size.
What this ultimately means is that if gamers choose to play all the parts of theFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, they’ll need to have significant storage available to do so. However, while thesecond part of theFinal Fantasy 7 Remakeis already in development, there’s no telling when the game will actually release. There’s still a few more months to wait until the first part releases, so gamers may very well be willing to play one part and delete it to make room before another part is available, if necessary.
Players who haven’t yet seenFinal Fantasy 7 Remake’s intromay be interested to know that it’s now available online. However, there are spoilers being uncovered from the demo, so players should take care to avoid them until the demo is officially ready to release. At this point, there’s no clear evidence as to when the demo will drop, but it’s allegedly already playable on select dev kits, so it should be available to all PS4 users in the near future.
