Microsoft revealed some big news forYakuzafans during its XO19 presentation. MultipleYazukatitles will be making their way to the Xbox Game Pass next year, meaning that in terms of consoles, the series is no longer a PlayStation exclusive.

The threeYakuzatitles coming to Xbox One (Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, andYakuza Kiwami 2) originally released on the PlayStation 4, and PC ports for all three titles were recently released. Now, next year the Xbox One will also be a home for SEGA’s unique series. Too bad players will still have to wait forYakuza: Like a Dragon’shilarious summons, though.

Revealed during XO19, threeYakuzatitles are making their way to Microsoft’s console and the Xbox Game Pass. There are no confirmed release dates for these titles yet, but theYakuzatitles will make their way to Game Pass in early 2020. It’s hard to tell if all three titles will release at the same time, or if they’ll be staggered, but either way, it’s a lot ofYakuzafor Xbox owners to catch up on. Given that the newest entry,Yakuza: Like a Dragon, will feature new gameplay features, now’s the time to enjoy the original entries.

It has not been announced whether these titles will be available for actual purchase as well, or only available on the Xbox Game Pass. If the titles are offered for sale, it may be similar to theYakuza Remastered Collection, which has three games in one package. Given how late in the console generation it is, it may be difficult to justify separate releases ofYakuzaports at this point.

It is not yet known ifYakuza 6or theYakuza Collectionwill eventually make its way to the Xbox One. Regardless, it seems less of a question of when the titles will release rather than if. While the releases are staggered, SEGA appears to want to getYakuzato as many gamers as possible. Multiplatform titles generally mean more sales, too, so getting someYakuzatitles on the Xbox One seems like a great move for the company.

Ironically,Microsoft originally passed on theYakuzagames, and now they’re playing catch-up as the popular series continues to get PlayStation support first. Better late than never, though, right?

Yakuza 0,Yakuza Kiwami, andYakuza Kiwami 2will release on Xbox One in early 2020. All three titles are available now on PC and PS4.
