Fortniteis full of crossover characters, and while its Marvel cameos made up an entire season of content, the battle royale game’s DC offerings have been steadily on the rise. Based on leaks and an official teaser from Epic Games, it seems like a new skin based on the superhero The Flash will be coming toFortniteas well.

WithFortniteSeason 5being focused on a huge assortment of pop culture icons entering the fight via the Zero Point, another high-profile addition like The Flash is hardly surprising. That said, it seems like The Flash’s addition will be special, as leakers claim that a special competitive Cup will be tied to his arrival. For players who takeFortniteseriously and have a dedicated team to play with, entering this competition may be worthwhile.

Much like howthe Marvel hero Daredevilhad his own Cup event that awarded winners with free, early access to his skin, it can be assumed that Epic Games is doing the same with The Flash. Likely to be added to the Item Shop shortly after the Cup ends, players can expect to see the incredibly fast Justice League member in their matches soon. According to reputableFortniteleaker and news source @FortniteBR, the event will begin on February 10. A look at The Flash skin’s design was also included.

As shown in the image, players will be filling the role of the CW version of Barry Allen. WithFortnite’s Green Arrow skinalso based on the live-action television show as opposed to the comic book version of the character, it makes sense that the same approach is being taken with The Flash. Shortly after FortniteBR posted these leaks, Epic Games officially tweeted out a teaser hyping up the DC character’s arrival — with Agent Jonesy detailing his powers and backstory.

Playing off the nickname and alias “The Fastest Man Alive,” Jonesy makes some jokes about the hero in the short audio log. If the teasers were not obvious enough, the post teasing that the incoming character is “really, really… really fast” should be enough confirmation that The Flash is the hero being discussed. With similar teasers coming just days before the arrival of characters like Sarah Connor andG.I. Joemember Snake Eyes, the leaked February 10 date for the cup lines up with this teaser’s arrival.

With The Flash set to join Batman and Aquaman inFortnitesoon, andvillains like The Jokerto face off against, Epic Games has all the pieces in place to do a DC event. While it remains to be seen if something on the scale of the Marvel crossover ever comes from all the DC cosmetic additions, at least fans of The Flash will have a good reason to jump intoFortnitesoon.

Fortniteis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
