It is a global tournament that gathers the most notorious pro players and gets them to fight each other to see who’s the best of the best. On top of that, the stakes are high as the prize pool this year is a hefty $10 million.At the moment, the competition has reached the Major 2 phase, which is nearly in its final stages already. On May 7, Surge Week came to an end, and soon enough the Major 2 Grand Finals will take place. The balloon keeping the bus in the air is green with a deep blue tarp on top, and the bus itself has various colors ranging from bright green to red. According to iFireMonkey, a leaker known in theFortnitecommunity, the Battle Bus will remain this way until May 15, the day following the Major 2 Grand Finals.
This will certainly be a busy week for competitiveFortniteplayers. It’ll start out with theFNCS Community Cupon May 8, giving players a unique chance to unlock the Championship Aura skin for free, and end with the finals on May 14. This will allow some participants to advance to the next stage of the competition, the in-person Global Championship LAN tournament in Copenhagen.
The Global Championship will only take place in the last quarter of 2023, so until then players still have plenty of time to practice and give it their all. Epic Games is still working hard on making positive changes to the game anddeal withFortnitebalance issues and late-storm heal-offsin competitive play.
