TyranoBuilderwas designed to help anyone make a visual novel without having to learn complex programming languages. It has a simple interface that anyone can pick up and use and even comes with some built-in assets for players to start making their first games with.

Fighter Makerhas had various versions over the years from the one famously released for thePlayStation 1to the more recent ones produced for PC. It’s a perfect way to try making a fighting game for the first time without the complexities of using a game engine likeMUGEN.

What’s simpler than making a microgame?Wario Ware D.I.Y.allows players to make their own minigames just like those found in the restWario Warefranchise. The game has a surprisingly robust creation system allowing for a fantastic variety of games — albeit extremely short ones.

The game also does have a single-player mode for players that just want some Nintendo-made fun to play through.

There have been over 40 versions ofRPG Makercreated over the years and that doesn’t even include more specific spin-offs likeSim RPG Maker. It’s immensely popular with new and old versions alike being usedto create games to this day.

There have even been several popular titles created using the engine includingOneShotandTo The Moon. It just goes to show that with the right tools anyone can create a successful title!

The level-making system inSuper Mario Maker 2is impressive all on its own. However, the ability to create Super Worlds is where the game really shines. Sound Novel Tsukūru shows that Nintendo has been trying to help gamers make their own creations since the days ofthe often-forgottenSatellaview. This special cartridge allowed gamers to create their own sound novels. These are different from typical visual novels as they focus on using music to create a specific atmosphere to tell the story.

A similar concept was also released onthe Japanese exclusive Casio LoopytitledLittle Romancewhich has a larger focus on the visual focus of the stories created.
