The HBO showGame of Thronesis well-known to all fans of the fantasy genre. It became one of the biggest TV hits of all time and successfully ran for eight seasons. Many viewers were upset when they had to say goodbyes to their favorite characters.

Sometimes this happened long before the show ended thanks to its tendency to kill main and supporting characters alike. One of those who survivedGame of Throneswas Kit Harington’s Jon Snow who will now get his own sequel show. And since Jon will be coming back, there are several other characters who could and should be in the sequel as well.
5Arya Stark
The Stark family wasn’t so lucky in the series but still more of its members managed to survive than with other houses, such as the Lannisters. Arya Stark went on to explore the unknown world in the series' finale, but she could very well come back. Either because there would be another crisis requesting her help or simply because she wants to see Jon and maybe give him a hand considering he has a knack for getting into trouble.
Of all the Stark siblings, Jon was the closest to Arya and their heartfelt reunion was one of the highlights of the series. Considering thatArya is a fan favoriteofGame of Thrones, it would make sense to bring her back, at least briefly. Alternatively, she could very well get her own solo series in the future that would show her travels as well as other adventures she’s sure to come across!

4Sansa Stark
Unlike her younger sister, everyone knows where Sansa ended up after the original show’s finale– in her home castle, ruling as the first Queen of the North. Ruling the entire North could be difficult, even for someone who’s been through so much as Sansa has. As such, she could decide she wants people she can trust by her side, and Jon is one of the folks Sansa can trust. Alternatively,Sansa could clash with the wildlingsand Jon could serve as the one negotiating peace between them.

Sansa’s sure to have many challenging days ahead of her and there’s no reason why one of her royal duties couldn’t bring her and Jon back together, even for a short bit. It would also give them a chance to further mend their relationship which used to be quite strained in the past and only became better as they grew older and saw how cruel the world could be.
3Samwell Tarly
Sam grew a lot as a person duringGame of Thrones' run, becoming much more confident. He and Jon built a close friendship since the latter was one of the few people who treated the former with kindness and didn’t mock him as even his own family did. Of course, Sam was given a busy future in theGame of Thronesfinale since he became the Grand Maester to the new King Bran. However, Bran himself could send Sam to check how Jon is doing or perhaps to request his assistance.
Not to mention that Sam has a rich history with the Night’s Watch since he was a member himself. That said, the strongest reason why John Bradley should make an appearance is simply that the friendship between Sam and Jon is something that deserves to be cultivated, not entirely forgotten. Considering how clever and well-read Sam is, maybe he could even figure out a way how to cancel Jon’s sentence and bring him back to his previous life.

2Daenerys Targaryen
Daenerys is one of the many characters who diedinGame of Thrones, and Jon was the one responsible. Except that there’s also the fact sometimes seemingly dead characters come back, be it as they were or in an altered form. Everything is possible in the world of Westeros, and as Daenerys' dragon Drogon flew away with her body in the show’s finale, maybe she could come back to her life thanks to dragon magic.

Even if Daenerys doesn’t come back alive, Jon could still be haunted by visions of her, his actions, and the time they spent together as a couple and allies. At the very least, Daenerys could appear in flashback scenes and visions Jon would face while living in solitude.
1Lady Stoneheart
One of the book characters who didn’t make it into the show but could appear in the Jon Snow sequel is Lady Stoneheart. She could very well become the series' first major antagonist since she has a unique connection to Jon. Those who read the books know that Lady Stoneheart is none other thanCatelyn Stark, killed at the Red Weddingand then resurrected. Except her resurrection didn’t go as smoothly as Jon’s, and Catelyn is now a vengeful apparition with white hair, red eyes, and a slashed throat.
She wants to avenge the death of her family, but her hate could easily transfer to other people as well, perhaps even Jon himself, whom she never liked as she saw him as the proof of her husband’s (false) betrayal. It’s unlikely that Lady Stoneheart will make it into the show, but she would bring something special to it and the fans would be happy to see Michelle Fairley take on the role again.
