Genshin Impacthas become one of the most popular RPGs since it released back in 2020, and now an anime adaptation of it is in development. Being produced by MiHoYo, the developers of theGenshin Impactvideo game, along withUfotable, the studio behind popular anime such asDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,God Eater, andFate/Zero, fans are very excited for the upcoming adaptation.

Genshin Impactis a free-to-play open-world RPG that first came out in 2020 and has been regularly updated since. It originally released on PC, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices, before coming to PlayStation 5 in 2021. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development. Due to its art style, many fans have wanted an anime adaptation ofGenshin Impact, and their hopes have come true.

AGenshin Impactanime was confirmed to be in development through a Twitter post earlier today. With the announcement, a trailer was also released. In the beginning of theGenshin Impacttrailer,Paimonflies around in a forest, before turning around to face the camera and pointing behind her. Many locations from the video game are then shown, allowing fans to see what Teyvat, the setting ofGenshin Impact, will look like in the anime. As Ufotable is known for making beautiful environments in its previous anime, fans shouldn’t be surprised that the world of Teyvat looks absolutely stunning in the upcoming adaptation.

Afterwards, Aether and Lumine, the two main characters of the video game, are seen holding hands. The camera zooms out and pans around them, before the screen fades to black as theGenshin Impactlogo appears, followed by the HoYoverse and Ufotable logos.

As previousanime produced by Ufotablehave been very successful,Genshin Impacthas the potential to now not only be one of the biggest RPGs in recent years, but animation series as well, especially as both fans of the video game can enjoy it with those that have never played before.

Along with the announcement of the anime adaptation,Genshin Impactfans were also treated with a trailer for the3.1 update of the game, “King Deshret and the Three Magi,” as well as a teaser for a concert coming later this year, “Melodies of an Endless Journey.” With all of these announcements,Genshin Impactfans have a lot to look forward to.

Genshin Impactis available now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
