With beta testing for Version 4.6 in full swing, a reliable source in theGenshin Impactcommunity has revealed which characters will have Story Quests in the new update. Story Quests have been a steady way forGenshin Impactto tell individual stories concerning a character, reveal important lore about the world of Teyvat, or even introduce a new weekly boss. Version 4.6 is set to be one of the biggest content updates inGenshin Impact’s history, as it will also launch with multiple Story Quests on top of the new zone and Flagship Event.
ThoughGenshin Impactwill debut Arlecchino in Version 4.6, it’s also expected to close out the regional story in Fontaine by letting players visit Remuria, the fallen civilization that preceded Fontaine before it was swallowed up by the Abyss. Earlier leaks have pointed towards Version 4.6 having an Arlecchino Story Quest, while others have claimed that Cyno would be getting his second Story Quest as well. It turns out that both claims may have ended up being credible.
According to Team Mew and Hexenzirkel, Version 4.6 will introduce multipleGenshin ImpactStory Questsfor players to experience: one for Arlecchino and the other for Cyno. Arlecchino’s Story Quest will lead directly into the new Trounce Domain, while Cyno’s is speculated to either revolve around Hermanubis or the Temple of Silence. Unfortunately, Furina will not receive her second Story Quest in Version 4.6, making her the first Archon character since Venti to only have one Story Quest.
Genshin Impact Version 4.6 Natlan Tease
Given that the newFontaine map expansion in Version 4.6also introduces the northern coastline of Sumeru, it’s quite possible that some of Cyno’s second Story Quest will take place in Bayda Harbor or its surroundings. Version 4.6 is also rumored to tease Natlan, as unlike the other nations of Teyvat, Bennett remains the only character of Natlan descent thatGenshin Impactplayers have interacted with.
Version 4.7 is expected to feature Clorinde and Sigewinne as new playable characters, with Clorinde likely receiving her Story Quest in the same update. However, Version 4.6 will effectively be the last major patch beforeGenshin Impactmoves onto Natlanproper in Version 5.0. It will give players time to stock up on Primogems, or alternatively, to pull on a last minute rerun of Fontaine characters such as Navia and Wriothesley. Version 5.0 is expected to launch in late Summer 2024, close toGenshin Impact’s fourth anniversary.
