Summary

Genshin Impactdeveloper HoYoverse has revealed a collection of cards that will be added to its Genius Invokation TCG in version 4.0 on August 16. Since its introduction in version 3.3, the Genius Invokation TCG mode has been expanding the roster of playable cards, with which players can build powerful decks to take down their friends. Recently, the version 3.8 update brought some character cards based onGenshin Impact’s Kazuha, Yanfei, and Candace, which revolve around their versatile skill set.

Genshin Impact’s Genius Invokation TCGis a turn-based mode where players build decks to eliminate all three of their opponent’s character cards. It’s easy to learn the rules of TCG, but players should invest a lot of time to master it. As players might expect from a card game, it requires them to think of their next move and build a versatile deck to come out victorious. In this mode, each deck consists of 30 action and three character cards that are visible to each player. Character cards perform the skills of theirGenshin Impactcounterparts, allowing players to change the course of the duel. Players who eliminate all three of their opponent’s character cards win the match and earn Primogems. Genius Invokation TCG can also be played against NPCs, which may help players understand the basics of the game.

In a recent blog post, HoYoverse revealed all details about the upcoming TCG character cards, which are based onGenshin Impact’s Lisa, Albedo, and Qiqi. It looks like Lisa’s card mirrors her skill set, with normal attacks dealing one electro damage and attaching Conductive status to the opponent’s active character. The elemental burst deals two electro damage and summons Lightning Rose, which also doles out two electro damage in the end phase. Albedo’s card is based on the Geo element, whose elemental talent allows players to reduce the cost of Plunging Attacks. The card also features an elemental burst that deals four Geo damage.

Another character card is based onGenshin Impact’s Cryo user Qiqi, whose elemental burst deals three damage and creates a Fortune-Preserving Talisman. It’s a combat status that heals Qiqi for two HP if the character doesn’t have full HP. The elemental skill, on the other hand, summons Herald of Forest which heals the character that took the most damage for one HP when this status is on the field.

Aside from character cards,Genshin Impactversion 4.0will bring two equipment and event cards to the table, with one being the King’s Squire weapon that deals one additional damage when equipped. There is also a support card named Golden House, which allows players to spend one less Elemental Die per round. However, they must play a weapon or artifact card with an original cost of at least three. The much-awaited Fontaine update forGenshin Impactis scheduled to release on August 16.

Genshin Impactis available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
