Grand Theft Auto 5was first released in 2015 and has seen multiple re-releases since then. However, Rockstar Games has finally announcedGrand Theft Auto 6in an official capacity, and while details remain scarce, a recent report by Bloomberg has shed more light on what fans can expect from the game.
Bloomberg’s report has revealedmany details aboutGrand Theft Auto 6and what the new game will entail. One of the most interesting details revealed by the Bloomberg report has to do with Rockstar’s plans forGrand Theft Auto 6post-launch. Grand Theft Autogameshave never added new cities post-launch, so this would be huge. It would also do a lot to boostGrand Theft Auto 6’s longevity and staying power, so fans may have an even longer wait ahead of them forGrand Theft Auto 7. But while Rockstar Games will reportedly add more cities and missions toGrand Theft Auto 6post-launch, the Bloomberg report also touches on the city that will be available in the base game.
It’s long been rumored thatGrand Theft Auto 6will be set in Vice City, and the Bloomberg report backs up those claims, though refers to it as a “fictional version of Miami” instead of outright stating that the next setting is Vice City.
There are some other interesting details in Bloomberg’sGrand Theft Auto 6report. At one point,Grand Theft Auto 6was going to feature North and South America, which lines up with some previous leaks as well. However, it seems as though plans have changed, with Rockstar Games toning down its plans forGTA 6’s scope.GTA 6is also said to feature a female protagonistfor the first time in series history, with a potential release date in 2024.
If theGrand Theft Auto 6release dateis in 2024 as planned, then fans only have to wait a couple more years to finally get their hands on the game. However, it’s always possible that things could change during development to push theGTA 6release date back, so fans should keep that in mind.
