There are two tales in the realm of entertainment that are forever entwined for their groundbreaking stories, shocking plot-twists, deep characters, lovable heroes, and rollercoaster narratives. Those two entities are of courseLilo and StichandHalo 2. No, really.

A shocking revelation has presented itself about the plots of 2004’sHalo 2and the Disney animated filmLilo and Stitch, thanks to a Redditor named newhampshiresmashed and his girlfriend. Apparently, the Arbiter fromHalo 2and Jumpa from the Disney movie have eerily similar story arcs.

The similarities start with the opening of bothHalo 2andLilo and Stitch, with even the camera angle looking nearly identical. The Arbiter is on trial for his crimes, and Jumba is as well. While the aliens on trial are punished, they are allowed redemption if they can hunt down someone. For the Arbiter, this is Avery Johnson, and for Jumba, this is Stitch. These similarities are crazy for an M-rated shooter and a family-friendly Disney flick, but both aresci-fi, andLilo and Stitchis one of the bestof its kind for Disney, whileHalois the cornerstone of Xbox.

The similarities continue as the Arbiter and Jumba are on their missions, when they are betrayed by the same government that sent them and replaced by new villains. Tartarus takes the place of Arbiter and Captain Gantu takes over for Jumba. To make this situation even crazier, Tartarus and Captain Gantu are voiced by the same actor, Kevin Michael Richardson (who has voice acted in some of thebestStar Warsgames).

Eventually, Lilo gets captured, as does Commander Keys inHalo 2. And Stitch needs to work with Jumba, the one who once hunted him, while Johnson needs to work with the Arbiter, one of themost powerful villains inHalohistory, who has now become an ally.

The similarities betweenHalo 2andLilo and Stitchare so eerie that it is fair to ask why. The fact that the villains are voiced by the same person is perhaps the part that makes it difficult to believe this is all sheer coincidence.

Halo 2came out in 2004, a couple of years afterLilo and Stitch(2002).Halo 2is often considered one of if not the bestHalogame ever, and part of the reason is because of the strong storytelling and gripping narrative.
