A bizarrePokemon Scarlet and Violetbug has led to a Heracross shrinking so much that it’s barely visible. The funny glitch is just one of the many issues plaguing the latest release in thelong-runningPokemonfranchise. While this one is funny, it highlights an ongoing problem with the games.Pokemon Scarlet and Violethave been praised for some of their changes and advancements, like switching to an open-world environment and giving players the chance to play side-by-side with friends. The game has also sold extraordinarily well. However, many fans remain unhappy with the game due to its myriads of glitches, bugs, performance issues, and other problems.RELATED:Spanish Teacher ‘Addicted’ to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet After Student RecommendationA new video shared by MrDjWalnut demonstrates the bug in action. In the midst of a raid, one trainer sends out Heracross. Everything seems normal for a moment, but then the Heracross suddenly vanishes, then reappears, having shrunk tremendously, looking even smaller than aPoke Doll. The visual glitch is pretty funny, and luckily has no real impact on gameplay other than looking a bit silly. It’s not clear if the Heracross ever regained its normal size during the fight, nor is it obvious why it shrank in the first place.

Unfortunately, this is just one of many bugs that players have been coming across since the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet. Similarly funny glitches have includedrandom Psyducksphasing in and out of the world, but bigger problems have included models and landmarks blinking in and out, frame rate drops, and outright crashes. Some have debated whether the true problem is with the Switch hardware’s capabilities as the console continues to grow older, but in any case, the game has left manyPokemonfans bitter.

Participating in raids, picnics, and just exploring the world with other players has been a big hit with fans. However, problems continue to plague the game to the point that players have questioned whether thefirstPokemon Scarlet and Violetpatchdid anything to improve the performance of the game. While many developers and publishers have been accused of releasing half-baked games that needed more time in development,Pokemongames have traditionally been quite stable, which has made these problems all the more egregious.

Until a more significant patch is released by Game Freak, players will just have to keep putting up with these weird problems. The developer has remained fairly quiet about the situation, so fans will have to wait and see when the next patch arrives and if it manages to fix the bigger problems the game has.
