AHogwarts Legacyplayer has posted a video online showing off a funny way to beat troll fights.Hogwarts Legacyhas plenty of different combat tricksthat make the game’s many fights much easier to handle.

Early numbers indicate thatHogwarts Legacyhas been an enormous hit for WB Games and Avalanche Software. For most players, jumping back into theHarry Potterworld has been a pleasure, allowing fans to interact with the Wizarding World in a way that’s never been possible before. After the critical and commercial struggles of theFantastic Beastsfilms, fans have been waiting patiently for their fix of greatHarry Potter. Now that they have it, they’re not wasting the opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of the game.

The troll fight was posted to Reddit by user TheStormBolt, and shows the player cheesingHogwarts Legacy’s River Troll fight. In the clip, the player attracts the attention of the troll, before hopping on their broom and flying away. Rather than losing interest, the troll continues to follow. The player then flies over a cliff, and the troll runs straight off to its death. It’s an unorthodox method of dealing with the troll, but it’s certainly effective. Players are still finding new effective ways to deal with enemies in the game, with oneoverpoweredHogwarts Legacyplant allowing players to cheese fights, too.

Players in the thread were torn over whether the troll’s death was good or bad AI. While the death looks silly, some felt that it was directly in line with how a fictional troll might act in that scenario.Hogwarts Legacy’s combat was generally considered a pleasant surprise for players upon release, although the troll fights were criticized for being spell-sponges that take much longer than they should. TheStormBolt’s technique here is a solid workaround.

With the game still relatively new, there are likely still a lot ofsecrets to uncover inHogwarts Legacy. It’s a good thing too, with developer Avalanche Software insisting that no DLC is currently being developed for the game. Hopefully, the financial success of the game encourages the developer to reverse course on this, so players have more Wizarding World content to explore. The vast majority of players would almost certainly welcome an expansion toHogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacyis now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and the Switch version launching on July 25.
