After defeating her in the first fight, Hornet reappears briefly in Pilgrim’s Way, Fountain Square, and the Cast-Off Shell. After a second, more difficult battle, the Knight has opportunities to meet her again in Deepnest, the top of the Abyss, and during thefight against the Hollow Knightinside the Temple of the Black Egg.

As a recurring character in the Knight’s journey, Hornet solidified herself as an iconic addition to the first installment. Not only was she mysterious, but she added a level of difficulty to the game by being one of the few characters to get two boss fights.
