Another leak, shared by Gura Leak on Discord, has revealed that the new weekly boss, which will be added inHonkai: Star Rail’s version 2.2, will have three layers of Toughness. Players can expect this mechanic will apply to many other bosses in the game.
If these layers have less Toughness value, this new mechanic would be a buff for characters whose skill sets are based on the Weakness Break effect, such as Ruan Mei and Xueyi, since they will trigger Break Damage more consistently. Besides, it would help some support characters, who increase allies' or their own Break Effect, stay relevant in the meta because they would make breaking these additional Toughness bars easier. One thing to note is that the upcoming gameplay mechanic has nothing to do with most of theplayable units inHonkai: Star Rail.
