Naruto Uzumaki is the protagonist of Masashi Kishimoto’sNarutoseries andan incredibly powerful ninja. Although Naruto wasn’t always the strongest, his desire to never give up and always try his hardest made him bloom into a fantastic shinobi and fulfill all his potential. By the last arc of the story, the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto is already a respected ninja across the Five Great Nations of theNarutoworld.

In the war itself, Naruto establishes himself as a legendary hero and ends up defeating the likes of Kaguya Otsutsuki and even brings Sasuke Uchiha back to Konohagakure. Conquering the power of Kurama and even attaining half of Hagoromo Otsutsuki’s powers, Naruto becomes thestrongest shinobi to ever live. Interestingly, his growth in terms of power doesn’t stop here. As the war ended, Naruto got stronger and in the blank period, his strength rose dramatically right up to theBorutoera.

Naruto In The Blank Period

Fans' first glimpse of Naruto after the blank period comes inThe Last: Naruto the Movie. The movie introduces yet another member of Kaguya’s legendary Otsutsuki clan, Toneri Otsutsuki, to the fans and establishes him as a major villain. It is during this fight against Toneri that Naruto shows a glimpse of his true power after the war and it is, quite simply, astonishing. Naruto’s first major power upgrade after the Fourth Great Ninja War comes fromhis very own Tailed Beast, Kurama.

During the war, Naruto only had half of Kurama sealed inside him. The other half was first used by Madara Uchiha and then ended up inside Kaguya Otsutsuki, following which Sasuke trapped it in a Chibaku Tensei and used its chakra to fight Naruto. After Sasuke’s defeat, Kurama was eventually sealed inside Naruto in entirety, giving him a major power boost, now that he had both halves of the beast sealed inside him. To put that in perspective, Naruto, with half of Kurama’s power, was able to overwhelm 5 Tailed Beasts at once during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Adding another half of the beasts' power was a significant boost for him.

Furthermore, during this time, Naruto constantly went on missions as a ninja, meaning he clearly wasn’t rusty. His fight against Toneri Otsutsuki proved that he was far beyond the level that he reached during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Toneri, being a user of the Tenseigan Chakra Mode, was strong enough to destroy the moon and he even planned to destroy the entire earth and then start life there from scratch. In fact, certain statements about Toneri Otsutsuki have compared his levels of chakra to that of Kaguya Otsutsuki. Toneri’s Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion was strong enough to split the entire moon in half with ease, which was only a glimpse of his true power.

Despite all that, Naruto, without even usingthe power of Six Paths Sage Mode, was able to withstand not only the moon-splitting attack of his but also defeat him by a single punch, showing the progress that he had made over the years that we didn’t get to see him train for. From this point onwards, Naruto continued to train even more and got even stronger.

Naruto’s Strength In The Boruto Era

InBoruto, Naruto’s overall strength seems to have increased even further, even ifhe’s a bit rusty at the beginningof the story. Having spent quite a lot of time with Kurama, Naruto seems to have mastered its ability entirely. He’s widely renowned as the strongest shinobi to ever live and it is believed that Sasuke Uchiha is the only one strong enough to match him in battle. The fans' introduction to theBorutoera sees the arrival of a foe who is portrayed to be much stronger than Kaguya Otsutsuki - Momoshiki.

Although it may not seem like it,Momoshiki was a higher-ranked Otsutsukithan Kaguya and she feared his eventual arrival with Kinshiki, which is why she prepared an army of White Zetsu to help defeat them. Yet, Naruto fared quite well against Momoshiki when the two fought. Even after the latter absorbed Kinshiki and powered up massively, Naruto was able to exchange blows with him in his base form, which impressed even the Otsutsuki. By tapping into the power of Six Paths Sage Mode, Naruto was able to fight him blow for blow, and thanks to Sasuke Uchiha’s help, he was able to overcome him in battle.

What’s even more interesting to note here is that Naruto wasn’t even at full power during this fight. Shortly before it, he had used a significant portion of his chakra to defend Konohagakure from Momoshiki. Following that, Naruto had half of his remaining chakra stolen by Momoshiki Otsutsuki himself, meaning while he was weakened, Momoshiki powered up even further. Despite being at half of his power, Naruto was able to fight a stronger version of the threat deemed to be greater than Kaguya Otsutsuki, who created all sorts of trouble for him during the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Clearly, Naruto got much stronger after the events ofNarutowrapped up. He eventually hit his peak when he tapped into the power of Baryon Mode against Isshiki Otsutsuki and defeated the strongest character to ever exist in theNarutofranchise. Unfortunately, this power came at the cost of Kurama’s life, meaningNaruto is now far weakerthan he once was. Nonetheless, fans know Naruto to be a fighter, and he will find a way to conquer his weakness once more.
