Destiny 2’s tenth season has arrived, and the loot-shooter’s freshest gear has arrived alongside the Seraph Tower seasonal public event. Instead of a battle arena like last season’s Sundial game mode, the Seraph Towers put the action back into some ofDestiny 2’s familiar locations. Players will want to get familiar with the way the towers work early on this season to get their hands on some of the weapons and armor the Warmind Rasputin has to offer for their Hunters, Titans and Warlocks.
Guardians will have to complete theSeason of the Worthy’s introductory questin order to unlock access toDestiny 2’s Seraph Towers. As of writing, the only accessible tower is at the Winding Cove landing zone in the EDZ, which previously held the Cabal mining rig event in the same spot. More towers are scheduled to pop up later in the season on Io and the Moon.

Boost the Power, Build the Tower
In similar fashion to earlier modes likeEscalation Protocoland Blind Well, players activate the Seraph Tower event themselves rather than waiting for it to start on a fixed timer likeDestiny 2’s usual public events. Guardians will find a primary tower in the center of the area alongside two secondary plates with support towers to the left and right, in a V formation. Players will have to build the primary tower by transferring energy to it from the secondary towers, while also protecting the area from nearby enemies.
Each secondary tower holds a large orange energy charge and periodically releases six smaller orbs that some participants will have to pick up and throw at the large charge to guide it to the primary tower, much likeDestiny 2’s Black Armory forges. The towers indicate when the small orbs will release with an audible timer. Guardians who aren’t handling charges should focus on eliminating as many enemies as possible from the area near the active tower, because if an enemy is on the secondary tower plate when the orbs release, only two small orbs will be released.
Guardians will want to ensure that a decent group of players is around to complete the event for the best rewards, because the event spawns a large amount of opposing forces at 980 power. The EDZ version uses Fallen as the primary enemy for the event, makingthe exotic SMG Riskrunnera solid choice for crowd control, along with high-damage super abilities and weapons like Izanagi’s Burden to quickly take out bosses. The event is likely to get easier as fans' levels increase with the new power cap, but in the meantime, players shouldn’t be afraid to bring out their most effective gear.
Players can tell how much progress they’ve made toward fully building the tower with the “Seraph Ordnance Satellite Construction” percentage. After repeating the process a few times and completing the tower, two Champion enemies will join the fray. These yellow-bar boss enemies spawn with eitherAnti-Barrier, Unstoppable or Overload modifiers, so Guardians will want to have at least one of the three applicable mods in their loadout somewhere.
After taking down the Champions, players can finally grab their rewards from the primary tower. A normal public event chest will spawn, along with a Warmind chest that opens with Encrypted Warmind Bits, which drop from Rasputin’s daily bounties. The Warmind chest drops seasonal armor and mods for players to optimize their loadouts.Destiny 2YouTuber Jarv’s video above shows off the event in action.
