Internal Trade In Norland
Internal trade inNorlandis essentially the food and alcohol that players sell to their peasants and warriors. By heading to the Finance menu at the bottom of the screen, players will be able to see everything relating to the exchange of products in their own settlement.
The first thing to look at is the wages of peasants and warriors in the top right of the menu. The numbers shown are how much each individual is paid per day, and the idea is that all should be able to buy one item of food every day, whilst having enough spare to purchaseNorland’sfinest alcoholevery few days. Having more wealth to spend on superior goods will make the population happier.

In this finance menu, players are also able to dictate the prices of goods, and they will want to check back to alter prices as demand ebbs and flows. Internal trade is all about striking a balance between economic viability and the happiness of the citizens.
Trade With The Holy Caravan In Norland
The Holy Caravan arrives every few days inNorlandand serves as the principal form of trade. Upon arrival, players will want to click on the trader with the yellow mask and assign a lord with the highest Trade skill to negotiate. This will then open the trade menu with the player’s goods on the left, and those of the caravan on the right.
The items on sale are split into three categories: resources, books, and prisoners. By clicking on their own goods or the trader’s goods, these items will be added to the middle, and at the bottom, the net profit or loss is shown. Players will notice that their own goods sell for a lot less than they bought, so buying resources that can be made at home is rarely a good choice.

Keep an eye on prophecies and upcoming disasters that will affect resource availability. Stock up on these preemptively and consider selling them when the prices rise.
There are a few advanced features worth noting about trading with the Holy Caravan:

Trade With Neighboring Realms In Norland
By looking at the large map inNorland, players will be able to see the symbol of two goods beneath each city. The first is a resource that they are willing to sell, and the second is what they are hoping to buy. By panning around, players should be able to find a neighbor to trade with, although the two kings must have a relationship of at least +5.
To initiate a trade, players should click on a neighboring city and then the assign button. From here, they can select trade and then opt for something to buy or sell. They will be informed of the quantity and price on offer. These prices are usually better than other forms of trade, but there is also an intermediary cost paid to the church. This extra cost means that short-term deals are not great, but a long trade agreement will far surpass this one-off expenditure.

To initiate the trade agreement, players will then select a lord to negotiate, and lords with a higher Trade skill will fetch better deals. Once they have arrived, players can focus on keeping up production levels to cater to their new export agreement. The details of trades can be seen in a dedicated menu found at the bottom of the screen.
