Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby’s first full 3D adventure, hassurprisingly difficult challenges within it. The final boss may give plenty of players some trouble, so this guide will offer tips and tricks onhow to beat Fecto Elfilis.
How to Beat Fecto Elfilis
Luckily, before players dive into the last battle ofKirby and the Forgotten Land’s main story, it makes sure Kirby is well-prepared with a selection of Copy Abilities and even a Maximum Tomato on the steps before the fight. While players can take on Fecto Elfilis with whatever ability they choose, they should go in with the understanding that some strategies are more viable than others.

Due to how Fecto Elfilis works as a boss battle,Copy Abilities such as theSword, Ranger, and Bomb abilities are the bestagainst it. Players may want to upgrade these abilities before challenging Lab Discovera if they can, as their upgraded powers are a rather big help.
The battle against Fecto Elfilis always begins with the creature firing projectiles in the air. This move makes up a fair deal of Elfilis' attacks, and can easily be dodged just by running to the side as they’re fired.

It may do this two or three times before crashing down with a glowing blue light aimed straight at Kirby. Players should be ready to jump as Elfilis lands, as the crash also releases a shockwave.
Thankfully, when Fecto Elfilis crashes, this is one of the best chances to attack it, as its staff gets stuck in the ground for a few seconds, and it will pause for a few more once it’s free.

Fans should also be aware that another one of Elfilis' attacks in the air is a beam attack that will chase Kirby down at an angle for about five attempts, leaving a burning residue in its wake. Players should run and dodge to avoid this attack at all costs, as it deals tons of damage.
When Fecto Elfilis is on the ground, it can swing its staff in a similar motion tootherKirby and the Forgotten Landbosses, which means it’s easy to jump over.

It also has an attack where it will charge up to strike in a solid line across the stage that fans can watch out for and dodge, as well as an attack digging its staff into a wormhole to release numerous shockwaves. Players should remain close in order to jump over the attacks to deal damage while jumping, as Elfilis stays still for that attack.
Elfilis can fire projectiles while being on the ground with a shake of its staff. Players should still run to the side, but remain close, as the moments before the projectiles fire can be an opening for a quick-hitting attack from abilities like Sword or Ranger.

One other attack that players need to watch out for is when Fecto Elfilis holds its staff low and lets it drag into the ground, leaving behind flaming rocks. Players can jump over the attack, but as the attack repeats at least three times, they should be careful to avoid the flaming rocks on the ground to avoid losing health. Eventually, when Fecto Elfilis' health is more than halfway gone, the boss will become desperate, and the second phase of the battle will begin with a slight spike in difficulty.
Fecto Elfilis uses all these moves interchangeably, and even makes a fair deal of them stronger in its second phase. Some attacks are even used together, so players need to keep their guard up in order to avoid extremely dangerous combo attacks.

The second phase always begins with Fecto Elfilis opening up a wormhole to throw meteors at Kirby. While this attack can be used more than once, it typically fires three at a time. Players need to avoid their trajectory and run away from their shadows to avoid taking damage.
Sometimes, this attack will end with Elfilis throwing a huge meteor almost equal to the size of the platform Kirby is on, but one side won’t be overtaken by shadow. Fans need to quickly find it and get ready to jump, as Elfilis usually crashes back down wherever Kirby is standing immediately after the meteor lands.
Another important move fans need to watch out for is when Elfilis is nearly defeated. The creature will curl up in its large ears and split itself into three copies. Players need to quickly find the real one out of the copies and attack it until the new blue part of its health bar is depleted.
If players are unsuccessful, the boss will recover HP. However, stopping it rewards the player with taking a chunk of Elfilis' health, meaning that this move plays a strong role in how the battle plays out.
As long as fans remain mindful and attentive, they should eventually best Fecto Elfilis. They’ll be asked to useDome Mouth Kirbyof Elfilis to free Elfilin from its grasp. However, the task is timed, and if they fail, the boss will recover a small portion of its health and fight once again.
Once Elfilin is freed, players will be treated to a cinematic ending that marks theend and completion ofKirby and the Forgotten Land’smain story.
