Becoming friends with superheroes is an exciting experience and it’s one thatMarvel’s Midnight Sunsdoes well. As players insert themselves into the role of The Hunter, Marvel’s first customizable superhero, they get to imagine themselves befriending the stars they’ve come to love.

Players are given advantages in combat for being friends with the squad inMarvel’s Midnight Suns. However, these friendship points can feel like they aren’t coming quickly enough. With the right dedication, players can be best friends with a superhero with just a few hours of work.
Sparring
Although fighting with others usually creates more of a rivalry than a friendship, the team understands that it’s nothing personal. In fact, they build a bond over these practice skirmishes every time The Hunter fights them.
The rewards are often sporadic and canyield arcane keys, blueprints, and more. However, regardless of these extras, the superhero in question will always gain friendship points with The Hunter. It does cost a few credits and can only be done once per day, but this is a consistent way to keep the experience coming in.

Compliment Heroes
The game is loaded with complex systems, ways to add cards, and tough decisions. Thankfully, compliments are fairly easy to give. Every so often, players will approach characters and instead of getting the usual ‘Talk’ prompt, they’ll get the ‘Compliment’ prompt instead.

It’s a simple and effective way to get some easy friendship points. Look out for the prompt that says, ‘Compliment Again’ because this means the hero has been recently complimented. Find another person to compliment to get the most out of the interaction.
Give Affirming Answers
Simply talking to heroes when they have something to say is another simple way to gain experience points with a hero and it doesn’t cost anything. But be careful; players can just as easily lose friendship with a character by giving answers they don’t like.
Please note the difference between giving “nice” answers and affirming answers. The heroes often need validation. It doesn’t hurt to cheer them up, certainly, but players are better off being empathetic to each one’s situation. Heroes like Magik don’t care if The Hunter is nice, she wants to be understood.

Hangout
After combat, sometimes players will get the chance to go on a hangout with a select group of heroes. Be warned that although multiple heroes will be marked to hang out with them, only one can be focused on per day.
There is another kind of hanging out that can be done at havens. This style of hangout can only be done once per hero, so make sure the activity performed matches the hero’s personality. For example, Tony Stark loves playing cards, he’s not so big on painting.

Bring Into Combat
All heroes that join The Hunter in combat will have a few experience points of friendship granted. Due to the sheer length of these combat encounters, this isn’t the quickest way to power level friendship, but it is handy if certain characters are just a few points away from leveling up.

Edit the decks of the heroesgoing into the fight to make the battle go more smoothly. The faster the fight is over, the sooner players can do all the other things that build friendship and return to combat the following day to select two more heroes to befriend.
Give Gifts
Every day, there will be some gifts available for purchase with Gloss in the display case just indoors from the yard. Inside, there are a variety of presents (there are more gifts offered if gamersgrow arcane levels fast). Players should always have at least one gift for each hero because the opportunity to give these gifts is rare.
Hangouts, either the ones at havens or the ones initiated at night by the crew, are the only times players can give a gift, so make the most of it. Like with the style of hangout, different characters enjoy different gifts, give them one that matches their personality.

Marvel’s Midnight Sunsis available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
