AMass Effect 2player online has noticed an endearing and easily missable detail about Grunt’s search history in-game. Players have to search for this detail by going through theMass EffectShadow Brokerdossiers, but the results are undeniably hilarious.

TheMass Effecttrilogy is known for being absolutely crammed with small details, with BioWare doing an incredible job at making the universe feel huge, yet filled with interesting characters. Despite first being introduced in the second game, Grunt is one of the more popular characters players can meet along the way. As the only Krogan companion inMass Effect 2, he had big boots to fill after Wrex in the original game. It’s a credit to BioWare’s writing that by the end of the trilogy, Grunt feels just as fleshed out as Wrex.

Redditor Supreme_Leader_Pee shared the detail, which only cements Grunt as one of thebest companions inMass Effect. By going through Grunt’s search history on the extranet, players can see that he’s searching for details about his own species' history, with the searches “tuchanka,” “tuchanka,” and “urnot wrex.” He’s clearly struggling with the spelling too, with other searches including “toochanka” and “tryrannsauros wrex.” Given Grunt is about three weeks old inMass Effect 2, he can probably be given a pass on this one. Interestingly, Grunt seems to be a fan of Ernest Hemingway, having read both “The Old Man and the Sea” and “For Whom The Bell Tolls” to 100% completion.

Other users in the Reddit thread had some interesting theories about the findings. One player claimed that Grunt immediately looking up “sharks” on the extranet after reading “The Old Man and the Sea” implies that he’s interested in fighting one, which could be a fun matchup. It’s interesting that while some of these dossiers are fun and lighthearted like Grunt’s, others show some characters' deepest secrets. For example, Miranda’s Shadow Broker dossier reveals that she has recently found she can’t have children due to her DNA construction. It’s thehidden details inMass Effectthat makes this series so memorable for gamers.

As for the franchise itself, there’s still norecent news about the upcomingMass Effect 4. BioWare seems to be rather sparse with the marketing for the game, indicating it’s still some time away yet. All hope is not lost yet, though. EA has yet to have its big showcase for upcoming games this year, with other companies hosting huge events earlier this month. While EA hasn’t announced a showcase is forthcoming, it has plenty of games on the way that it can put on display for players, so hopefully, when it does happen it will finally bring some moreMass Effectsequel news along with it. If all else fails, N7 day in November is always guaranteed to have at least one announcement, so fans can expect a snippet of something then.
