The 20 Kings,or rather the 20 Monarchs, are the 20 rulers of different Kingdoms in the distant past who collaborated to take down the Ancient Kingdom. It is the rulers of this Kingdom who ended up moving to the Holy Land of Marijoa and came to be known as the Celestial Dragons. Fans know very little about which 20 families were a part of the faction that is currently the Celestial Dragons, however, Oda has slowly revealed some bits to the fans.

5Donquixote Family

The very first family that the fans are sure was a part of the 20 Kings in the past is the Donquixote Family. This family has been relevant inOne Piecefor the vast majority of the Dressrosa Saga as Doflamingo, the King of Dressrosa at the point, was the main villain. It was explained to the fans that the king of the Donquixote Family 800 years ago was quite cruel and he tortured the Tontattas and used them as slaves, that is, until he eventually moved to the Holy Land of Marijoa.

It is a known fact that the former Donquixote Kingfrom the Void Centurywas a very evil man and that he collaborated with the other 19 to take down the Ancient Kingdom. Unfortunately, fans do not know what this character looks like, however, in the future, fans will most certainly see who he was and what kind of oppression he caused to not just the Tontattas but those living in Dressrosa at the time as well.

4Nefertari Family

The Nefertari Family is another one of the Founding 20that are confirmed to have been in the battle against the Ancient Kingdom. However, with the Nefertari Family, the case is quite different. Although the Nefertari are believed to be a part of the Founding 20, they weren’t actually their allies.

Instead, the Nefertari Family, which was led by Queen Lily at the time, was actually an ally of the Ancient Kingdom. They pretended to be an ally of the Founding 20 when in reality, Lily was the reason why the Will of D is still alive today and why the Poneglyphs, which were created by those of that Kozuki, were spread all over the world to be safeguarded. Lily was recently confirmed to be a member of the D clan, which means the Nefertari family is a D Family itself. Nonetheless, they are believed to be a part of the Founding 20 as well.

3Figarland Family

The Figarland Family is a very curious one inOne Piece. They were first brought to the light duringOne PieceFilm: Red where the Gorosei spoke of Uta’s connection to the Figarland Family through Shanks. The Figarland Family are believed to have ruled an island named God Valley where Celestial Dragons used to live, from what can be assumed so far. These Celestial Dragons were, most likely, also present on God Valley nearly 800 years ago, which could be where they always resided.

After Rocks attacked God Valley 38 years ago, this island seemed to vanish from the face of the Earth. Their King, Garling Figarland, however, is alive and well and he is the head of the Holy Knights at this point in time, with the power to pass judgment even on the Celestial Dragons themselves. The Figarland Family is surely one of the Founding 20 as well.

2Nerona Family

The Nerona Family was recently introduced inOne Pieceand fans know very little about them. All the fans know at this point is that this family is one of the most prominent ones to have existed during the Void Century and is also among the Founding 20. They had a ruler during the time of the Void Century named Saint Imu. This Imu could be the very same person who is currently the King of the entire world.

Some information on Imu was revealed to the fans by Oda through Emporio Ivankov, who is a very high-ranking member of the Revolutionary Army. Sadly, fans do not know anything else about the Nerona Familyand how Imu managed to take control of the world. The only other relevant bit of information that the fans know about Saint Imu of the Nerona Family is that they were likely operated upon by the former user of the Ope Ope no Mi.

1Five Elder Families

The Five Elders are, most likely, also a part of the Founding 20. If the lower-ranking Celestial Dragons, such as the Donquixote are a part of the Founding 20, surely the ones above them who reign supreme and are directly under Imu are a part of the Founding 20 as well. Oda recently revealed their names to the fans, however, their family names are a tad hard to figure out at this point in time.

Nonetheless, all five of them are likely representatives of the five different families that existed during the time of the Void Century as well. As such, their families would be a part of the Founding 20, meaning they were most likely Kings in the past as well. With these five rulers, and the other four, fans would know 9 of the 20 families that collaborated to destroy the ancient kingdom 800 years ago in the world of one piece. Currently, the Five Elders are Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, Saint Topman Valkyrie, Saint Baron Ethan V. Nasujuro, Saint Marcus Mars, and finally, Saint Shepherd Ju Peter.
